                                              Chapter 1

"Now, who’s the strongest merman in the ocean?" asked Tristan to his nine mermen friends looking at him.
"Who else but, Raffy!" answered together and aloud by all his nine mermen friends.
Raffy just smiled looking at his ten mermen friends he gathered in the middle of the great ocean.
"And who's, the bravest and the handsomest merman in the ocean?" asked Tristan once more to his nine mermen friends.
"Who else but, Raffy!" was the quick and loud answer of his nine mermen friends.
Raffy, once again, simply smiled at all his ten mermen friends praising him.
"In fact Raffy is also the Alpha Merman of our ocean," the loud statement of Tristan his closest friend.
"And we are lucky to be Raffy's friends" stated loudly by one of his ten mermen friends.
"But of course I'm lucky too you're all my friends,"
Raffy's reply smiling at all his mermen friends looking at him.
"But why did you gather us all here?" asked one of the mermen to Raffy, the strongest, bravest, and the handsomest merman in the ocean.
"Well it's time that you know my plan. I will be a flying merman!" the big statement of Raffy looking at all his friends surrounding him.
"Huh, we didn't know that. It's the first time that I heard you spoke of such wish. But how do you intend to do that?" asked his closest friend Tristan. "I only heard of a flying two-legged superhero from the land above but I never heard of any flying merman ever before."
"We'll my friends, I gathered you all here to witness what I am about to do, right here moments from now," the quick response of Raffy to his good friends.
"What's going to happen moments from now Raffy?" the question of all his friends, wondering.
"We'll wait here, moments from now a ship will pass," the answer of Raffy nodding his head proudly.
"And what does a ship has to do with your desire to be a
flying merman," answered one of his friends, wondering.
"Okay, just so you know. Listen, I know that the ship that is about to pass in front of us is carrying a wishing golden duck," the proud answer of Raffy to his mermen friends.
"Ah... I get it from that golden duck; you will wish to fly, right Raffy, huh?" the statement of one of his friends.
"You got it right dude," the response of Raffy looking at the approaching big ship far from their left.
"And how will you get this wishing golden duck huh? I heard you can't board a ship unless you have money. And we don't have money Raffy, mermen don't."
"You just wait and see. The moment that big ship passes right in front of us, I'm going to talk to them and demand that they give me that wishing golden duck," the answer of Raffy.
"But what if they don't give you that wishing duck, what will you do?" the fast question of one of his ten mermen friends.
"Then I will have no choice but to shake their ship and force them to give in to my demand," his reply to him.
"Huh!" the quick and loud reaction of his mermen friends looking intently at him.
"The human passengers could get hurt, if you shake their ship Raffy," the concern statement of one of his friends.
"And Raffy, it's not proper to harm anyone, on land or in the sea, that we all know," added his closest friend Tristan.
"Don't worry about that my friends, I won't be hurting any human I think. And all because once they feel that their ship is shaking, they'll immediately give in and give me that wishing golden duck they're carrying in their ship," the loud reply of the merman Raffy.
"You seem to be so confident of that Raffy," commented by his other mermen friend.
"Yes, I'm very confident. They're going to surrender to me and give me that golden duck that's going to make me fly," was his confident answer to his friends who was looking at the ship nearby.

                                          Chapter 2

The massive ship went on sailing oblivious of the plan of Raffy. The mermen stared at the big and beautiful ship approaching. And they all saw, the ship was boarded by so many happy human passengers. They all waited and waited until finally it passed right in front of them. Immediately, Raffy swam with his powerful merman tail and his big and muscular arms. At last Raffy swam right beneath the big ship.
"Raffy, are you really sure about this, huh?" asked one of his mermen friends from behind him.
"You just stay where you are my friends, leave it all to me," stated Raffy and went even closer to the ship.
"Look, there are mermen down the ocean!" screamed one of the ship passengers. And immediately, many of the passengers looked to the direction of the nine mermen looking up at them.
"Hello, humans, I am Raffy and I command you to give me the wishing golden duck!" the loud command of Raffy.
"Really, you command us!" the loud reply of one of the passengers. "Who are you to command us. We're not giving you that wishing golden duck!"
"Yes, we're not giving you that wishing golden duck!" agreed and shouted by many of the ship passengers.
"Give me that wishing golden duck or I'll shake your ship!" the loud threat of Raffy looking up at the passengers.
"Hahahahahahahaha!" the human passengers all laughed at Raffy.
"How can you shake our ship? You're a merman, not a strong typhoon dude!" shouted one loud and proud passenger from the big ship.
"Huh really now," Raffy just said. "Give me that golden wishing duck right now, or I'm shaking your ship!" repeated Raffy aloud looking at the loud and proud man on board the ship.
The human passengers all looked at each other and answered, "Go ahead shake our ship loud merman!"
"Hey don't say that man, can't you see he's mouth is so loud. He'll probably blow this whole ship with his loud mouth," the loud statement of one ship passenger, mocking Raffy down the water.
And Raffy heard what the man said. And he got so furious and he immediately took a deep breath, swam under the ship. With his strong muscular arms, he held the ship from below. Raffy shook the massive ship. And immediately, the human passengers felt the great Raffy strength.
"Ahhhhhhh, we're going to sink, we're going to die!" shouted most of the panicking passengers.
"Okay, we give up. Who has that wishing golden duck, give it to him so we won't drown and die," the question of one of the fearful passengers.
"Who has that wishing golden duck, speak up!" the loud order of the loud passenger who earlier mocked the mighty and strong Raffy the merman.
Suddenly, the passengers attention focused on one little handsome boy in the midst of them. They looked at each other and stared back at the little boy.
"Oh, no this is my toy. This is my rubber ducky, no one's going to take it away from me," the loud answer of the handsome little boy shaking his head and looking at the passengers around him.
"Stop shaking us mighty merman! You're about to get what you want. We give up! We give up! We're giving you your duck!" the loud shout of one of the passengers looking at the little boy's rubber ducky.
"Hey merman, what are you going to do with this, this golden duck huh? You're going to drown and kill us all for a golden duck. What's wrong with you merman!" the loud statement of one of the passengers.
"Raffy wants to fly. And that wishing golden duck is going to make him!" was the answer of one of Raffy's mermen friends looking up at the passengers.
"Really, but this is just a--" answered one of the passengers.
"Stop, let's just throw him the duck," warned one of the passengers and immediately went for the little boy's rubber ducky.
The boy tried to run but the older passengers were just too big and too fast for him. The little boy stared at the man holding his golden rubber ducky.
"Throw me the wishing golden ducky now, or I'm going to shake your ship once again!" the loud warning of the strong and mighty Raffy looking at the golden duck in the hands of the passenger on the side of the ship.
"Okay, here is your wishing golden duck!" the man holding the rubber ducky answered and immediately throw the duck to Raffy down the water beside the ship. "I hope you can fly with this!"
And immediately Raffy swam forward and caught the golden duck. He held it in his hands. He looked at the golden duck that was going to make him fly. The passengers from above the ship all looked down and waited if the rubber ducky could indeed make the strong merman fly. Raffy's ten mermen friends also stared and waited if the golden duck could indeed make Raffy fly. From down the water and above the ship, the spectators waited. They all looked and waited.
Finally, Raffy looked up to the humans, looked back to his friends and smiled holding proudly his wishing golden duck. With his right hand he rubbed the wishing golden duck. Suddenly, the heavens roared it’s loudest, and lightning flashed its fastest. Instantly, the rubber toy transformed into a solid gold ducky, and slowly from an opening inside its beak, smoke came out and a big golden genie magically appeared in the middle of the ocean.
All the ship passengers and the mermen friends of Raffy stared in amazement at the big Golden Genie that suddenly appeared in the middle of the sea.
"What is your wish?" the Golden Genie spoke immediately and yawning and not looking at Raffy.
"How many wishes can I make?" the immediate question of the strongest and mightiest merman Raffy smiling at the Genie levitating above them.
"What is your wish?" the Golden Genie from the rubbery ducky spoke loudly ignoring Raffy's question to him.
"Okay, I wish to fly!" was Raffy's loud answer and wish.
"Wish granted!" the Golden Genie quickly answered, and together with the floating golden rubber ducky, disappeared in the middle of the ocean.
"I feel so light. This is it, my wish was granted! You're going to see me fly!" the statement of Raffy looking at his mermen friends.
Everyone, the passengers and the nine mermen looked at each other. And then they all looked to Raffy. And none said a word. Not from above the ship and not from below.
Not one said a word, except for the little boy who lost his rubber ducky.
"I can fly now!" shouted Raffy proudly.
"Sure you can fly now; you just turned into a flying fish!" the little boy agreed and laughed.
"Huh, me a flying fish?" asked Raffy laughingly but when he realized his mermen friends looked too big from where he was, he slowly looked at himself.
"Raffy you turned into a flying fish..." Tristan his closest merman friend told Raffy softly, looking down on him.
Not a word came out of Raffy's mouth, his new flying fish mouth.
"Raffy you turned into a flying fish!" his other nine mermen friends exclaimed all looking on him.
"Yes, you turned into a flying fish!" the loud and united statements from all the ship passengers looking down on the once high and mighty merman Raffy.
Raffy could see the sadness from the eyes of his ten mermen friends and the amusement from all the ship passengers. Not knowing what to do, Raffy submerged, dove and swam down as fast as he could. He swam and swam deeper into the sea. He swam and swam until there was no more to swim to. Raffy hit the bottom of the sea. "Ouch!" Raffy just said, shook his head, and laughed so hard. He laughed and laughed until tears flowed rapidly down his eyes. He cried and cried aloud until he could cry no more. Lying on the bottom of the deepest sea, Raffy looked up from where he used to be at the top of the sea, at the top of all mermen from their kingdom. Raffy screamed. He screamed and screamed until he could scream no more. He lay on the sea bottom and closed his eyes.

                                           Chapter 3

After a day, Raffy slowly opened his eyes and saw where he was, he was floating aimlessly on the surface of the wide ocean. Raffy saw the skies, the skies that he dreamed to fly. He closed his eyes once again and allowed the sea water surface current to take him where he thought he deserved to be. Raffy drifted in the vastness of the ocean for a long time. With his eyes closed Raffy admitted his defeat and slowly fall asleep once again.
"Wake up!" shouted one flying fish who found Raffy on the sea surface.
Slowly Raffy opened his eyes and saw another flying fish beside him.
"Hey lazy flying fish what are you doing sleeping. Hurry up we got a ship to chase!" the loud statement of new flying fish.
"A ship to chase," Raffy quickly uttered looking at the new flying fish beside him.
"What are you a newborn flying fish?" teased the new flying fish. "Hurry up and follow me!"
Raffy looked and decided to follow the flying fish swimming ahead of him. He swam fast and followed him. He followed and followed. Suddenly, hundreds of sparkling Flying Fishes came. They swam swiftly around the two of them. All the Flying Fishes who just arrived were swimming fast and jumping out of the water. Another group of Flying Fishes came. Raffy was in the middle, surrounded by a wide span of thousands and thousands of sparkling Flying Fishes in the great ocean. Raffy watched as the sparkling Flying Fishes were all jumping out of the water, flying momentarily above the water, and submerging back in.
"There's the ship, let's surround it and chase!" shouted most of the new flying fishes around Raffy.
Amused, Raffy swam and jumped like the rest of them and shouted looking at the new ship, "There's the ship, let's surround it and chase!"
Slowly, the passengers of the ship looked and watched all the many flying fishes swimming and flying chasing them. The flying fishes saw many beautiful passengers on side of the ship. The flying fishes kept looking up at all the beautiful passengers of the ship. Not knowing why the flying fishes were all looking up, Raffy followed and looked up at all the beautiful passengers on the side of the ship. The flying fishes near Raffy kept on looking up and following the ship. They all looked up and followed for a long time until slowly all the passengers left the side of the ship and went back to their beds. All the flying fishes waited for some new passengers to stand on the ship of the big ship. But none arrived, nor came back.
"Some other day then!" screamed most of them and slowly swam away from the ship.
All of the flying fishes had left the big ship in the sea and only Raffy and the one who woke him up were left swimming and looking up.
"Hey, I'm Enrique," the flying fish beside Raffy introduced himself.
"Me, I'm Raffy," Raffy introduced himself back and laughing a little at the disappointment in Enrique's face.
"Ah...  not one of those beautiful girls threw us their flying kisses," complained Enrique looking at his new friend Raffy. "If only one of them gave me their flying kiss, I could have been a handsome merman now."
What! Quietly, Raffy reacted quickly and looked intently on Enrique swimming beside him.
"When will I ever get that flying kiss," complained Enrique once again looking up at the side of the ship.
Suddenly a lady approached the side of the ship and immediately Raffy shouted, "Hey lady, threw me your flying kiss, I don't want to be a flying fish!" Over and over again Raffy shouted loudly towards the beautiful lady on the side of the ship looking down at the two of them in the sea.
"What are you doing Raffy, humans can't hear us!" Enrique told Raffy.
"Huh, sorry I forgot," Raffy just said shaking his head. Still shaking his head, Raffy wondered if Enrique was really telling the truth. But remembering how the other flying fishes were so excited in following and looking up at all the beautiful girls on the side of the ship earlier, he believed and felt a little hope for himself.
Suddenly, the beautiful lady left the side of the ship leaving Enrique and Raffy in the sea.
"Let's go Raffy, let's follow the other flying fishes and find something to eat," invited Enrique.
"Okay," Raffy answered looked back at the ship, and immediately followed Enrique. Enrique was swimming so fast and so Raffy swam fast too. Side by side the two new friends swam in the middle of the sea and searched for the other flying fishes. They immediately found them and joined them in searching for food. The large school of flying fishes swam and swam in the middle of the ocean and searched. Finally, they found a wide span of small organisms and immediately started eating. Raffy, unsure if he would like what they were eating, still decided to try and eat with them. He immediately liked it, and ate fast along with his new flying fish companions. They ate for sometime enjoying their meal and afterwards slowly headed home. When they reached it they all swam still and slept.

                                     Chapter 4

Inside the magical blue palace, the ten mermen friends of Raffy were talking about him.
"I wonder where Raffy is now," started his friend Tristan.
"Poor Raffy, if only he hadn't shaken that ship maybe he wouldn't have turned into a flying fish," added Lemuel, another friend of Raffy.
"He just wanted to be able to fly. But maybe, he has a very important reason why he really wanted to fly," commented Raul, another close friend of Raffy, from the dry chair he was sitting inside the big blue palace.
"I saw a large school of flying fishes. I approached them and waited if one of them would approach me. But none swam towards me. So I presumed Raffy wasn't one of them," added Julio another childhood friend of Raffy worrying about him.
"Maybe, he was actually with them. He was just too embarrassed to approach you. Raffy was the strongest merman among us, and now that he is already a flying fish he probably feels he doesn't fit to our group," the statement of Rex from where he was swimming inside the palace.
"Raffy is a good merman. He took pride about himself and what he had achieved but he never said anything bad about anyone, about anyone of us considering that he is looked upon as a son by our king," explained Ronnie. "He treats us like we are his brothers."
"Yeah, I really wish we could help him. I really wish I could find that golden duck, maybe Raffy could wish once again and be a merman once more," stated another friend of Raffy, Duncan.
"Yes, we should find that duck as fast as we could before the king notices Raffy isn't in the palace. It would definitely sadden him if he'll lost Raffy," added Dino looking at his mermen friends.
Suddenly the king arrived and saw Raffy's mermen friends inside the big blue palace. He immediately approached them.
"Good day your highness!" greeted all the ten mermen to their king standing in front of them.
"Where's Raphael?" the king immediately asked looking at them.
"Huh, he said he'll be gone for days. And he was such in a hurry; he did not even tell us where he was going. But he sent us here to inform you he can't come home for some time," the excuse of Julio hoping to find Raffy before the king learned that their friend turned into a flying fish.
"What happened, answer me. I know Raphael won't leave the palace for days without telling me. What really happened!" the loud question of the king.
The ten mermen friends of Raffy suddenly turned quiet, looking at each other and waiting for one to start talking to the king.
"Where's Raphael?" asked the king once more.
"Your highness, Raffy turned into a flying fish..." the hesitant answer of Tristan looking down unable to look at the king.
"What!" the loud reaction of the king.
"Yes, your highness. Raffy turned into a flying fish..." Tristan answered once more for his nine mermen friends looking at the king in front of him inside the big blue palace.
"He turned into a flying fish, but how did it happen?" asked the king once more looking at all of them.
"Raffy gathered us out in the sea surface and told us that a ship carrying a wishing golden duck would pass. He told us he is going to wish on that golden duck and make himself fly. And when the ship passed by, he asked the passengers to surrender the duck and when they refused Raffy shook the big ship from the bottom. They panicked and immediately threw Raffy the wishing golden duck. Raffy held and rubbed it. The rubber duck, turned into a solid gold duck and soon the golden genie appeared. Raffy immediately wished to fly. The golden genie granted his wish, and disappeared with the golden duck," narrated Tristan and hesitated.
"Yes, your highness his wish to fly was granted, only he turned into a flying fish," Duncan butted in and finished for Tristan.
Shaking his head King Leonardo asked, "And where is Raphael now?"
"That, we don't know your highness. As soon as Raffy realized he transformed into a flying fish, he dove down and swam fast away from us and from the ship passengers and never returned. I tried to search for him but I couldn't find him," the answer of Tristan to his king.
Calmly the king commanded, "Go out to the sea, find him and bring him back to the palace."
Immediately the ten mermen swam and left the palace and searched for Raffy. They swam and swam looking for schools of flying fishes in the ocean. And when they found a big group of flying fishes, they immediately approached and asked.
"Have you seen a flying fish called Raffy?" asked Tristan immediately to the big group of flying fishes.
"Is there a flying fish named Raffy in our group?" asked one flying fish loudly to all the flying fishes around them. Nobody answered. "I guess there's no Raffy in our group. Why don't go west, we saw another school of flying fishes out there. Maybe that Raffy is with them."
"Thank you," Tristan thanked the flying fishes and together with his nine mermen friends immediately headed west. They swam and swam fast and when they reached west they immediately asked the large group of flying fishes.
"Is there any flying fish with the name of Raffy in our group?" asked Tristan loudly looking at the wide span of silver flying fishes in the middle of the ocean.
"Raffy, are you the one their looking for huh?" asked Enrique to Raffy softly.
"Yes, but don't tell them I'm here..." Raffy requested his new flying fish friend Enrique.
"Is there any Raffy in our school?" asked one flying fish loudly at all the flying fishes surrounding him. Still nobody answered. "There's no Raffy in our school!"
"But there's another large school of flying fishes south, maybe you'll find him there. By the way, why are you asking for a flying fish, you mermen are kind but you don't really mingle with flying fishes? Why you are so interested in this one, called Raffy. Did he do something wrong, did he sneak in to the big blue palace huh?" answered and asked loudly by one curious flying fish.
"Raffy is our friend, he was a merman but a golden genie transformed him into one of you, a flying fish!" answered Tristan loudly looking at all the flying fishes in front of them. And after he thanked them, the ten mermen friends looking for Raffy headed south.

                                        Chapter 5

Immediately, Enrique separated from their large school of flying fishes taking Raffy with him. When they distanced themselves enough, he immediately spoke and asked, "You used to be a merman Raffy huh?"
Raffy did not say a word so Enrique spoke once more. "Are you a merman Raffy?" Enrique asked looking intently on Raffy.
"I was, but now I'm a flying fish like you," the answer of Raffy looking at his new flying fish friend Enrique.
"But how did it happen?" the quick question of Enrique to Raffy.
"I wronged humans, and now I'm being punished, that's all I can say," Raffy answered looking at the many flying fishes away from them.
"Okay, I won't ask what you did anymore. So that's why you shouted at the ladies on the side of the ship, you did not forget, you really didn't know that humans can't hear us flying fishes.
"Yeah, I didn't, I really want to be a merman once again, not that there's something wrong with you flying fishes," answered Raffy smiling a little.
"Yeah, we flying fishes are just okay, but all of us dreams to experience being a merman. You mermen all look handsome and you live in beautiful palaces and attend balls with beautiful mermaids. All we flying fishes can do is look and envy all of you from afar," answered and narrated Enrique to his friend Raffy.
"Really, we mermen don't know that. But now I'm one of you..." Raffy answered sadly.
"You really wish to become a merman once again Raffy, I can see that," the statement of Enrique.
"And that's why, I'm going to chase big ships and fly with the rest of you flying fishes!" answered Raffy loudly.
"Yeah, who knows, maybe next day we'll be both mermen!" answered Enrique and laughed aloud looking at his new friend Raffy.
"Yeah, who knows?" Raffy agreed aloud and laughed with Enrique.
Still laughing, the two new friends headed back to the big school of sparkling silver flying fishes.

                                       Chapter 6

While his new flying fishes friends were busy looking for food, Raffy decided to go out on the sea and swam near their blue palace. He thought, he wanted to see the palace, even from afar, for he missed his home, his friends and the king. And right above the blue palace on the sea surface he saw a female flying fish chasing a big ship.
"Hey, what are you doing here racing on the side of the ship, are you also waiting for someone to throw you a flying kiss huh? Raffy asked the female flying fish swimming fast on the side of the big ship.
"Yes, I am," the female flying fish quickly answered smiling at Raffy, swimming fast by her side.
Suddenly, a man went to the side of the ship above them. The female flying fish immediately jumped and flew in the water. She flew and flew for a long time trying to get the attention of the man and gave her a flying kiss. But the man was merely smiling, looking at the two of them in the sea. After a while the man went back to where he came from inside the ship.
"When will I be as lucky as my friend," the female flying fish uttered shaking her head. "A handsome man was so amused at her flying on the side of the ship; he threw her a flying kiss and immediately turned into a mermaid."
What! Raffy silently reacted from where he was swimming.
"And she told us that she attended a grand ball and danced with this handsome merman named Raffy inside the big blue palace," the statement of the female flying fish still looking up at the side of the ship.
And immediately Raffy flew and somersaulted above the sea surface. "I have hope! Yahoo! Yahoo!" Raffy shouted in his excitement and happiness remembering that he had indeed danced with a new mermaid he hadn't seen around the majestic and magical blue palace before. "I can still be a merman! I can still be a merman!" Raffy continued screaming.
"Of course you can, just be patient and wait. Our time will come eventually," the female flying fish told Raffy.
"Thank you so much," Raffy answered excitedly and happily.
"Huh, what are you thanking me for?" her immediate question to Raffy.
"Never mind, and thank you once again," Raffy quickly answered and, immediately left the female flying fish still waiting for a flying kiss. He dove down deeper and headed for the blue palace. He swam and swam downwards and when he reached the big gate of the blue palace, he swam still and looked. He saw a lot of mermen and mermaids talking and laughing with each other. I really miss my home, my friends and my king, Raffy thought.

                                           Chapter 7

"I wish I can be a merman once again and live in this palace with King Leonardo..." Raffy spoke softly and immediately remembered the day his father was buried.
Raffy was sitting on the side of the grave of his father who the bigger mermen buried on the side of his departed mother in the deep sea cemetery. His tears were flowing on his eyes looking at their grave, and remembering the happy times when they were still both around. He was their only son, and they both loved him dearly.
"Raffy, both your parents are dead now. But you're not alone, I'm here. I'll take good care of you..." softly, King Leonardo pacified little Raphael. "Your father was my closest friend when he was still alive. I hadn't been with you, but we can start now. I'm taking you to my palace."
With tearful eyes, young ten-year old merman Raphael looked up to the face of the kind king. He wiped his tears, stood and held his extended hands. From then on, Raphael lived with the king inside his magical blue palace on the deepest of the sea and slept in a grand room with a soft and dry bed. Raphael lived in the underwater and magical blue palace where the sea water reached up to the waists of adult mermen. Mermen could breathe under the sea, but they could breathe better above on the sea surface where they could see the beautiful islands in the wide sea. Ordinary mermen would usually swim upwards to the sea surface and enjoy the beautiful views above them and breathe. But the mermen living inside the magical blue palace didn't have to go to the surface, inside the palace they could breathe the air that humans breathe.
Young Raphael wasn't a prince for there was no prince in the kingdom but the king made sure that his mermen treat him like one. King Leonardo took good care of him like he was his own son. The sight of the young Raphael swimming and playing around the shallow sea water inside the kingdom made the king smiled and laughed making him dearer to the heart of the king. For King Leonardo Raphael was the son he never had. In an under the sea school near the magical blue palace Raphael studied with other young mermen. Raphael studied and played with his new young mermen friends and afterwards he would immediately go back to the palace and be with the king all evening. Raphael would tell him everything that he had done the whole day and in return the king would also tell him stories. The king also took Raphael on his hunting under the sea. He taught Raphael how to hunt big fishes. And on these trips King Leonardo realized that young Raphael wasn't an ordinary merman. Raphael was so strong. A giant octopus attacked them on one of their hunting trips but Raphael simply swam fast and faced the giant octopus, held his tentacles tightly and easily swirl him around and away from them. And when they were stranded during a typhoon, a gigantic rock almost fell towards them but with his great speed, Raphael swam upwards, caught it with his two little hands and threw it away from the king and their companions. He became dearer and dearer to the king as the day goes by and one day he told Raphael about the  beautiful girl he saw standing on the side of the big ship.
From the sea surface King Leonardo looked up at the most beautiful face he had ever seen and when she glanced down at him he immediately shouted, "Hey do you see a handsome man?"
"Yes, but I don't know his name!" the beautiful girl above on the side of the big ship answered.
"I'm Leonardo!" the king answered aloud smiling at her from where he was swimming. "What's your name?"
"I'm Aubrey!" she answered aloud looking and smiling at Leonardo.
Immediately the two of them fell in love and even when Aubrey realized that he was a merman her love for him remained. He would meet Aubrey on a port and after she jumped in, Leonardo would hold her hands and swam her to their beautiful island. They stayed on the breathtaking island for so many occasions. One day Aubrey told Leonardo, "I'm pregnant..."
"You are, I'm going to be a father!" Leonardo exclaimed happily at her news. But after several months, Aubrey's parents learned of their relationship and forbid her to see him. Aubrey disobeyed and waited for Leonardo on the port. She waited and waited but Leonardo didn't show up for he was sent to lead their soldiers in a war. After the war, their daughter was born and Leonardo went to see Aubrey on the port. But to his disappointment, Aubrey told him she was already married, her parents forced her to marry another man to save their name from her pregnancy, with tears in his eyes, Aubrey big good bye to Leonardo. For years they did not see each other until one day, Leonardo saw Aubrey on yacht with her new husband with a beautiful seven year old daughter. He swam near the yacht and immediately saw how happy they were. He stared and looked at Aubrey and when she noticed him, she immediately took her daughter and brought her inside the cabin. With her reaction, Leonardo immediately realized that the little girl he saw was his daughter. Suddenly a strong wind blew on the big yacht and something fell from the yacht. He immediately approached, took it and realized it was a picture of the little girl he saw playing on the yacht, his daughter. With sorrow in his heart, he dove down and swam back home and lost any hope of finding her daughter once again. Over and over again the young and handsome merman Raphael would look into the picture of the beautiful young girl and vowed to himself that one day he would find her and bring her to the king who took good care of him. He studied at school, played and occasionally would go to the sea surface and wait for a yacht or a ship hoping to find a girl that looked like the picture in the king's royal room. For years all that Raphael did was study seriously at sea school, played with his mermen friends, surfaced and looked for King Leonardo's daughter. Until one day, he read of a story written by old mermen scholars of sightings above the sea of strong and powerful human beings who could fly. And from that day forward he dreamed of becoming a flying merman and find king Leonardo's daughter to repay him for the kindness that he had shown him.

                                         Chapter 8

Raphael became stronger and handsomer as time passed by and on the day after his twentieth birthday he overheard older mermen talking about an under the sea fortune teller that lived far away from their kingdom. Immediately, Raphael went and swam heading for the kingdom fortune teller that lived in a beautiful sea garden. He passed by many big sharks, sea turtles, dolphins, and whales. He looked and smiled at all of them, excited and wondering how it would be like to fly. He was going to see the fortune teller for one and only one reason, to ask him how he could fly. He swam faster and passed bigger sharks, bigger sea turtles, bigger dolphins and bigger whales until at last he saw the giant golden clam in the middle of a beautiful green garden filled with beautiful and colorful underwater flowers. He wasted no time; he immediately swam towards it and stood in front of the closed gigantic golden clam.
"Greetings golden clam, I came here to ask you a question!" was Raphael's loud greetings and statement standing in front of the gigantic golden clam.
Slowly, the gigantic clam opened and in it laid a gigantic yellow Sea Horse, the sea fortune teller. "Greetings, I know this day will come. Say your question quick!" the greetings and the fast statement of the gigantic Sea Horse fortune teller.
"I came to ask how I can fly," was the fast answer of Raphael looking at the gigantic yellow Sea Horse inside the golden giant clam.
"A day after your twenty-first birthday an eclipse will occur and right above the magical blue palace a ship carrying golden duck will pass by," the answer of the gigantic Sea Horse looking at Raphael.
"And how can a golden duck help me fly?" asked Raphael immediately.
"Inside the big ship is not an ordinary duck, it is a golden wishing duck. You have to rub it gently and wish your wish!" the reply of the mystical gigantic Sea Horse looking intently on Raphael's eyes.
"Thank you great sea fortune teller, you had answered a question that I had since I was a little merman," Raphael thanked the sea fortune teller smiling at him.
"I know you’re the strongest merman in the sea, but you must be careful..." stated the fortune teller.
"I always am," was the fast and proud answer of Raphael, "good bye and till we meet again!"
The sea fortune teller looked and smiled mysteriously at Raphael. "We will meet again..."
Raphael smiled back at the sea fortune teller and immediately swam away.

                                          Chapter 9

Remembering how happy he was on his twenty-first birthday and what became of him a day after, the flying fish Raffy took a deep breath and sighed from where he was swimming looking at the beautiful blue palace ahead of him. Suddenly, he saw King Leonardo pass by and swam with ten older mermen. They did not even notice him in their way. Silently, he watched the king and his companions passed through the tall gate of the kingdom and disappeared inside the blue palace. But I still have hope, I just need to be patient, someday I'll find a lady that will throw me her flying kiss and turn me back into the strong merman that I used to be. And with this in mind, Raffy immediately swam away from the palace and headed far out. He swam and swam fast. He stopped in the middle of the ocean and waited for a ship to pass by. He waited and waited but no big ship passed by. When he was about to turn his back and look for the other flying fishes, he saw a small yacht approaching him from his right. He swam still and waited for the yacht to reach him. And when it passed in front of him, Raffy saw the most beautiful girl, a girl far more beautiful than all the beautiful mermaids and all the beautiful ladies he had seen on big ships. He swam still in the sea just looking at her beautiful face, her beautiful eyes, her cute pointed little nose, and her beautiful red lips. And then his eyes dropped to her legs. I never saw anyone with legs as smooth and as gorgeous as that. Now, I know why those little fishes like hanging out on beaches with lots of beautiful ladies swimming. Clever little fishes, Raffy silently thought and smiled at the beauty on the yacht. Immediately, he held himself, manly as a Flying Fish could, and flew. He flew and submerged over and over again racing on the side of the moving yacht. Raffy did everything he could to get the attention of the beautiful lady on the yacht, and he even screamed hoping that she could hear him, "Hey lady throw me your flying kiss!" But still she did not notice him flying on the side of the yacht. Still Raffy did not quit, he flew and submerged some more trying to get her attention but still she did not even look at him. A little tired, Raffy slowed down and looked at the beautiful lady on board the yacht. If only she was on that ship, maybe I wouldn't have shaken it and I wouldn't be the flying fish that I am now, Raffy thought once more shaking his head. And if I had seen her there, maybe I would have wished to be a flying man. Maybe, it would be clearer to that genie. All I said then was I wished to fly, maybe that genie thought I was a sardine wishing to fly and turning me into a flying fish was a promotion.  Ah... enough of my thought I should now fly higher and get her attention maybe she'll throw me her flying kiss, Raffy finally decided. So Raffy flew as high as he could and submerged over and over again looking at the beautiful lady inside the fast yacht in the middle of the ocean.
Suddenly, the beautiful girl on the yacht saw Raffy flying and racing her yacht. Amused at the flying fish, she smiled and continued looking at Raffy.
She's looking at me now, just a little more and she'll probably be impressed and throw me her flying kiss, Raffy silently thought and hoped looking and flying on the side of the yacht. The beautiful girl kept looking and Raffy continued flying and hoping. But his hopes was blown away when the beautiful girl smiled her last and turned her back going to a door in the ship.
Disappointed, Raffy stopped flying. But he did not leave the yacht. He continued swimming and racing on the side of the fast yacht. He waited and hoped that she would come back and see him once more. He waited and waited until he had swam so far and realized that the yacht was about to dock on a small port far away from the blue palace and from his new flying fish friends.
And when the yacht docked, he saw the beautiful girl disembarked and walked on the port with another man. If only I had legs, I could have introduced myself to her. Maybe, she'll like me too. Mermaids usually did, Raffy thought looking at her walking with a man. Shortly, Raffy lost sight of the beautiful girl he was wishing to throw him a flying kiss. Disappointed, Raffy waited on the port. He waited and waited but to his disappointment only the man she was walking returned and drove the yacht away. She's not coming back, what will I do here now? I'm so far away from the palace and from my friends, the mermen and the flying fishes. He looked around and saw some new girls but suddenly lost interest in trying to get their attention to him. He decided that he wanted nothing but the flying kiss from the beautiful lady he saw on the yacht.

                                          Chapter 10

Raffy explored the port and saw some cars above it. He got attracted to the blue one for it reminded him of their palace. He followed it on the road. He looked smiling at it as it travelled fast on the highway. He followed and followed until suddenly he saw another port, a bigger port with many big ships docked. He stopped chasing the blue car and headed for the ship. He saw a lot of little boys swimming in the water right beneath the big ship. He immediately swam towards them and soon as he got near, he immediately screamed, "Ouch!" he moved to his right. "Ouch!" Raffy was hit once more. He moved again to his right. "Ouch!" Raffy was hit once again. "Wasn't I've been punished enough huh. Do all humans know that I shook one of their ships and they're all now punishing me for it, huh?" Raffy uttered feeling the pain on his body. Raffy didn't know that he approached a group of young boys asking for passengers on the ship to drop coins on them. Many of the passengers pitied the young boys begging for they thought that begging for money on the side of the ship at the sea was dangerous. They hoped that one day a government representative would take them and give them shelter and food. Some of the passengers kept throwing their coins to the young boys begging for money and Raffy got hit over and over again. Finally, Raffy decided to leave the young boys and decided to head somewhere and explore the beautiful seaside of the beautiful city. He swam and swam exploring the whole place from where he was swimming. He swam and looked until finally he reached a beach. Tired from his long swam and from the coins that hit him over and over again, he rested for a while on the shallow sea water near the beach front. He rested, swam still and closed his eyes. Suddenly he felt he flew, thought he didn't remember flying.
"Gotcha!" shouted the overly excited handsome ten year old boy. "Allan, I caught a fish, a beautiful silver fish. Hurry up let's take this to the tank. I want this one alive. I want to see it swim!"
"Let me see it first Ryan," asked the eight year old handsome boy as he approached his older brother Allan. "Let me see!"
"No, we must hurry or this might die!" the loud suggestion of Ryan to his younger brother running towards a beautiful beach house.
Instantly, Raffy breathed once again as he felt himself in the sea water inside the big drum where Ryan dipped his small aquarium fish net. He breathed and breathed fast and thought, I'm still alive, and I thought that was my end. My flying fish end... He looked up and immediately saw the two young boys looking down on him from inside the big drum filled with sea water.
"My, I think you caught a flying fish Ryan," was the fast statement of Allan to his older brother looking intently on Raffy inside the big drum.
"Really," he uttered and looked intently on Raffy looking at him. "You're right I caught a flying fish indeed!"
"And I think this is a boy, look he looks fierce!" noticed the younger boy looking down on Raffy inside the big drum.
"Ah... so you notice I'm a boy, but I'm more a man. I'm twenty-one, you know," uttered Raffy looking up at the boys looking down on him. "I kind of like these two little boys, they remind me a lot of the handsome young me swimming fast around the blue palace."
"I think we should put a cover on top of the drum or he might jump and fly out of the drum and die on the floor," the fast suggestion of Allan to Ryan.
           "Huh," Raffy suddenly uttered.
"Here, Allan I think this will be a good cover. Let's just leave a little opening so he could see a little and breathe," agreed Ryan and immediately placed the cover on top of the big drum leaving a little opening.
"Hey, what did you do? It's too dark in here. I thought you boys like me. Take that thing off this drum. I can't see a thing!" complained Raffy and jumping out of the sea water over and over again inside the big drum.
"The flying fish is jumping inside the tank. I think he doesn't like it dark down there. But he could die if he fall on the floor," the statement of Raffy looking at his older brother.
"I promise I won't jump out of the drum. Just take that cover off here!" the shout and promise of Raffy that only he heard.
"Yeah, I think you're right. I'm calling Sabrina to buy us a big aquarium tank and accessories," stated Ryan as he pulled out his cell phone from the pocket of his jeans. He dialed and shortly Sabrina spoke on the other cell phone.
"Ryan, you called. Why," answered Sabrina to her younger brother from her cell phone while she sat on a bench inside a big mall. "You want me to buy you something huh?"
"Where are you, are you in a mall huh" the fast question of Ryan to his older sister Sabrina.
"Yes, I'm in a mall," answered Sabrina pleasantly looking at the people walking in front of her.
"Good! Could you buy me a big aquarium tank huh?" I caught a flying fish and he doesn't seem to like it here in the dark drum.
"Really, that's funny. I'd been looking at a beautiful silver flying fish earlier while I was on yacht in the sea. I wonder if we're talking about the same flying fish," Sabrina responded giggling a little at her little brother's news.
"Yeah I know you like flying fishes too Sabrina. Hey don't forget to buy water pumps, and all," stated Ryan on his cell phone.
"Okay, Ryan I'm buying a complete aquarium set," the assurance of Sabrina to Ryan.
"Thanks, and please come home soon. I'm really excited to see how this flying fish really looks like on a clear glass wall," Kurt told his sister eagerly.
"I'll come home with the fish tank as soon as I can. Bye now little brother," Sabrina uttered and hang up.
"She's buying us a new aquarium tank, Allan. We'll just have to wait till she comes home," Kurt informed his younger brother, Allan looking at the side of the drum in front of them.
"Come let's go back to the beach, maybe we'll catch some more lost flying fishes," suggested Aldrin to his older brother and immediately the two young boys ran towards the sea leaving Raffy all alone inside the big and dark drum.
"Aquarium, I remember, I read about it on one of our school books. It's where humans place their fishes. I wonder who that Sabrina is. She better come home or I'll be stuck in this dark drum for life," the statement of Raffy trying to look around the dark drum.

                                          Chapter 10

The two boys tried to catch more fishes on the shallow water of the beach front for hours. They quickly dipped their fish net in the water the moment they saw a fish swimming around their feet. They tried and tried but all they caught was one yellow butterfly fish. Immediately the two went back to the drum opened it and dipped the fish net releasing the yellow fish inside. Suddenly, the two boys heard the sound of Sabrina's car parking in front of their big beach house.
"Sabrina's home Ryan, let's meet her up front," the suggestion of Allan and immediately ran towards his sister in front of their house leaving the two fishes inside the dark and covered drum.
When the two boys reached the front of their house, they saw Sabrina together with two men carrying the large aquarium tank towards their living room.
"That's a very beautiful and big aquarium you bought us Sabrina. Thank you so much. You're really the best sister," the loud statement of Ryan smiling and flattering his beautiful sister smiling at him.
"I'm glad you like it Ryan. Look it's already set with water pumps, filters, pebbles, plastic plants and small rocks and corals," stated Sabrina looking at her two younger brothers following the men carrying the big aquarium tank and placing it on a small rectangular table behind the big sofa near the big television.
"There you are," said one man as they finished positioning the big aquarium tank in the living room.
"Thank you," Sabrina thanked the two men as they headed for the door and into their truck.
"My, it's all ready. All we need now is to put sea water in it and plug in the pumps," stated Allan looking intently at the new fish tank inside their living room.
"Okay, I'll just go up to my room while you two boys fetch some sea water for your new tank," Sabrina said walking towards the stairs nearby.
"Thanks again Sabrina," Ryan thanked his sister and immediately went to the drum with two big pails.
Allan immediately took the cover of the drum and looked for the fishes inside. "Relax, we'll just put you in our little pail and then we'll move you to your new aquarium okay," the soft statement of Allan.
Immediately, Ryan dipped his fish net and tried to catch the other fish. It tried to swim away from the fish net over and over again. Until finally Ryan caught him and transferred it to the sea water filled pail. Afterwards, he looked for the flying fish and when he saw it he immediately dipped the fish net.
"Okay boys, you can bring me now to your new aquarium tank. I heard it's better than this dark drum," uttered Raffy and immediately swam towards the dipped fish net to the surprise of the two boys looking down at him.
"Huh, did you see it Ryan huh?" the immediate question of Allan to his older brother. "He just swam directly to the fish net."
"I think, he doesn't really like it here inside the drum," Ryan just said and immediately took the flying fish out of the drum and into the sea water filled pail on the floor.
Afterwards, Ryan dipped the other empty pail inside the drum and brought it out immediately. One pail each, the two young boys headed back towards the living room. They left the pail containing the two fishes on the floor and carefully poured the contents of the other pail inside the new aquarium tank. Afterwards they went back to the drum and fetched some more sea water. Carrying the pail together, they filled the aquarium with sea water over and over again until finally they decided that it was time to transfer the two fishes. The two boys then poured the sea water together with the two fishes inside the new aquarium. Inside the tank, Raffy immediately looked at the two boys looking at him from outside the tank. Allan immediately tapped on the glass wall and the other fish immediately swam away and hid behind the green plastic plants but Raffy swam still and looked around the house. He immediately saw the beautiful sofa, the television, the vases, and the curtains covering the windows of the entire living room.
"This flying fish seems to like us already. He didn't hide when I tapped the glass wall unlike the other one," stated Allan.
"That's odd; fishes usually get so uneasy in a new environment. But this one seems to like his new home already. And he doesn't look fierce anymore. He's staring at us like he had seen us for a long time already," the statement of Ryan as he continued looking at Raffy calmly swimming in front of the aquarium facing the two young boys.
The two young boys stood in front of the new aquarium tank and stared at the two new fishes inside the tank.
Slowly, the other fish swam towards Raffy stopped and stared at him.
"Hey flying fish, what's your crime huh?" the immediate question of the other fish looking at Raffy.
"What crime are you talking about dude, we're in an aquarium tank, not in prison cell," the fast answer of Raffy laughing a little at his aquarium companion.
"Huh, they call this an aquarium," uttered the other fish. "But still we are their prisoners I think."
Suddenly, Raffy thought about it and agreed softly. "I'm still being punished then. I've been a bad, bad merman and I deserve this."
"Huh, what did you say you're a bad merman, huh?" the fast question of the yellow butterfly fish.
"I really don't want to talk about it now. You're right, I did a crime and deserved to be punished and locked up in this tank for life," was the sad statement of Raffy looking down on the aquarium.
The two fish then settled on opposite sides of the tiny white and smooth pebbles inside the big aquarium tank. Quietly, the two boys looked at the two fishes lying on the pebbles.
"They're not swimming anymore, Allan," stated Ryan. "How about we feed them with this fish food that Sabrina brought along with this tank?"
Immediately, Allan picked some fish food and carefully sprinkled it through the small opening at the top of the aquarium. Slowly, the fish food dropped all over the aquarium. But the two fishes simply looked at it and did not swim to catch and eat it.
"I'll tap the glass once more, maybe they'll swim once again," Allan said and carefully tapped the glass walls.
But the two fishes remained still on the pebbles. From inside the tank Raffy noticed the sadness in the faces of the two young boys. But Raffy was too sad to care. He closed his eyes and lay on his side on the pebbles.
"Allan the flying fish is dying!" was the worried statement of Ryan looking at Raffy resting on his side. "What have we done? Maybe we should just release them back to the sea."
What! Raffy silently reacted from inside the tank and immediately pretended to be dying floating gently from inside the tank. That's right I'm going to guilt this two boys so they'll release me back into the sea water, Raffy thought with half-closed eyes.
The two young boys continued looking at the seemingly weak and dying flying fish inside the tank and after some time Ryan spoke, "Let's just return this flying fish to the sea, maybe he'll recover if he's returned to his real home."
Silently, Raffy rejoiced at what he heard from the two guilt stricken boys. With half opened eyes he saw how Ryan slowly dipped the fish net inside the fish tank to get him. Just a little more acting and I'm out of here, Raffy thought and immediately closed his eyes. Shortly Raffy felt his back resting on the soft fish net. I'm inside the net; they're returning me to the sea. I'll be free.... Raffy silently rejoiced with his eyes still closed.
"What happened to your fish, he looks dying," the statement of Sabrina who just approached the two sad young boys.
Raffy opened his eyes a little to look at the owner of the new voice but Ryan was blocking his view so he closed his eyes once more.
"I'm just returning him to the sea, Sabrina," Ryan softly uttered still holding the handle of the fish net carrying Raffy.
"Okay, let me see. Maybe we can still cure him," the statement of Sabrina pacifying her little brothers and immediately moved right in front of Raffy looking directly at him on the other side of the glass wall.
Raffy noticed, slowly opened his eyes and saw who was looking at him. He saw the face of the beautiful lady that captured his heart and chased on the side of the yacht.
"We can't cure him Sabrina, come I'm returning him to the sea," the soft statement of Ryan and readied to pull out the fish net out of the tank.
Noticing what Ryan was about to do Raffy immediately leaped up and swam away from the fish net inside the aquarium.  "I'm cured, I'm alive!" the fast and loud statement of Raffy moving swiftly around the tank to the surprise of Sabrina.
The two young boys looked at each other and smiled. "He only saw you Sabrina and suddenly he leaped and swam actively around the aquarium. You clever fish you almost tricked us."
"Maybe he was just adjusting to his new environment and to the new water temperature," Sabrina simply said smiling at her two brothers near her.
"Or maybe he saw something he really like," Raffy added laughing a little.
Suddenly, Raffy stopped swimming swiftly around the tank and approached the glass right in front of Sabrina. He looked up and stared at the beautiful face of Sabrina. Mesmerized by her remarkable beauty, Raffy didn't realize he sank a little from where he was swimming and looking.
Sabrina looked back at the flying fish inside the aquarium and smiled.
"You two, this is your new pet now, take care of him okay," Sabrina told her two little brothers.
"How about you take care of me huh," answered Raffy from inside the tank looking and admiring Sabrina.
"Of course we will Sabrina," Ryan assured his sister.
Sabrina then left her brothers and went back to her room.
Ryan then picked the fish food can and dropped some inside the tank. And immediately Raffy started eating the fish food. He ate and ate. Not bad, Raffy thought as he continued eating the fish food. "Hey you fish, swam out here and eat with me."
Slowly the other fish swam out of the plant he was hiding and started eating with the flying fish Raffy. And on his first taste, he exclaimed, "Wow, this sure is delicious!"
Happily the two fishes ate and ate around the aquarium until they wiped out all the fish foods that the young boys had given them.
"I forgot to plug in the pump," Ryan said and immediately went around the aquarium and plugged. The water pump started producing water bubbles and immediately caught the attention of the two fishes. Wondering what it was, the two fishes slowly swam near it and looked closer. After a while they noticed the inside of the aquarium felt more comfortable and they could breathe better. Slowly, Raffy swam directly on the water bubbles and immediately liked it.
"This is great, it feels really cold. Hey you should try this bubbles too," Raffy invited his friend. The other fish swam directly beneath Raffy and immediately felt good. The two swam around the aquarium happily, exploring all the plants, the pebbles, the corals and the beautiful little bridge in the middle. They went under the bridge over and over again and passed through the cold water bubbles. Slowly, the two fish got to like their new environment. After a while they swam still in the middle and rested looking at the two amused young boys.
"They both look happy and contented inside our big aquarium tank. We'll just feed them regularly so they'll stay happy," stated Allan still looking at the two fishes inside the tank.
"We'll feed them alternately Allan," Ryan decided happily looking at their new pet. "I think we should name these two fishes."
"We'll call the yellow fish Ton-ton and the flying fish Rap-rap," suggested Allan. "Do you like your names huh?"
A few days passed, Raffy and the other fish got used to their new home. When the boys watched television, the two fishes watched with them. When the boys laughed at what they were watching so did they. And Raffy always hoped and waited for Sabrina to come home. Every time she arrived, she would pass by the aquarium, look and smile at the two fishes and Raffy would look at her and hoped that she would give him a flying kiss. He no longer screamed for a flying kiss knowing that she couldn't hear him.
All I can do now is to love her from afar or from inside the aquarium, Raffy thought and laughed a little at himself. Maybe someday I'll find a way for her to understand me, and then she'll throw me her flying kiss and I'll be a handsome merman once again, thought Raffy once more from inside the tank.

                                           Chapter 11

Ryan and Allan arrived and immediately approached the aquarium. Allan opened the fish food can and feed the two fishes. Immediately the two fishes swam and chased the fish foods as they slowly sank inside the tank. Happily the two fishes ate the new fish foods. Happily, the two young boys kept watching their two new pets as they ate the fish foods they had given them. Suddenly, a furry white dog entered the house and sat near the two boys looking at the fishes inside the aquarium.
"Doggy, come here. Look we have a new pet, fishes. Do you like them huh?" asked Allan to his white dog.
Why would I like them, you stopped playing with me the moment you brought those two in here, answered and  complained the dog sitting on the floor.
"Hey doggy, let's show Ton-ton and Rap-rap your tricks," Allan told his pet dog knelling and rubbing his soft white furs. "Don't embarrass us okay."
"Let me do it Allan," Ryan suggested to his younger brother and stood in front of the dog on the floor, "stand!"
But the dog did not stand. So Ryan commanded once more, "stand!" but the dog simply yawned and closed his eyes on his two young masters.
So Allan decided to take over and commanded and as soon as he shouted stand, Raffy immediately stood still inside the aquarium.
The two boys saw Raffy swimming still and standing inside the aquarium. They looked at each other wondering what just happened. Ryan commanded once again and looking at the aquarium tank, "Okay, sit!" and immediately Raffy lowered himself to the pebbles and rested on his side folding half of his body upwards. Once again, the two boys stared at each other and back at the flying fish sitting inside the tank.
Excitedly, the two boys approached the tank and immediately commanded together, "Roll over!" and immediately Raffy straightened his body and rolled over on the smooth pebbles inside the aquarium. Over and over Raffy rolled inside the tank. The eyes of the two boys widened and stared at each other once more. Allan commanded once more, "Stop!" and immediately Raffy stopped and lied on his side on the pebbles.
"Ryan we got the world’s most amazing flying fish!" excitedly Allan told his brother and looked back at their wonderful new fish.
"Okay, let's see if you can understand this, fly!" and immediately Raffy flipped and flew inside the aquarium.
“Ouch!” Raffy screamed as he hit the glass aquarium cover. The two boys laughed at what happened but immediately Raffy jumped once more out of the water, flew perfectly clearing the glass cover and landed back into the water. Raffy flew perfectly over and over again on different directions from inside the aquarium.
"Stop," Allan suddenly commanded. And immediately Raffy stopped and swam still in the middle of the beautiful aquarium tank, dipped his tiny head down and vowed.
"Wow!" Ryan screamed. "This is incredible!"
"Yes, he is incredible!" Allan excitedly agreed. "What are going to do Ryan, are we telling Sabrina and mom huh?"
"Yeah, I think we should, but I don't think we should let anyone else knows about him," the statement of Ryan. "Rap-rap is small; anyone could sneak in here and steal him away from us."
"Yeah, I agree, but I really would like Sabrina to see Rap-rap do his tricks from inside the aquarium. Maybe, it would distract her a little. She's been staying in her room watching the picture of that man she painted," Allan agreed and added.
"I think she's in love with that man," Ryan said looking at his younger brother.
Huh, Sabrina is in love with another man, sadly Raffy uttered to himself inside the aquarium and continued listening at the two young boys in front of him.
"I asked her who that man she painted and she told me she didn't know him. She said she only saw him at the sea while she was on our yacht one day. She turned around to get her cell phone and took a photo of him but when she looked back, he was already gone," narrated Allan to his brother beside him.
"She must really like him a lot, to be able to paint him from her memory considering she only saw him for a moment," concluded Ryan.
I have no hope, she really is in love with another man, sad and disappointed Raffy thought. What's the use of becoming a merman once again if I can't have her? Slowly, Raffy sank on the pebbles and lay.
"Luke has been courting Sabrina for a long time. And now that she's in love with this new man, there's really no hope for him," added Allan.
"At least that man is useful," Ryan said. "I don't really like Luke for Sabrina."
"Me too," agreed Allan. "Come to think of it, Sabrina and that man in the picture suit each other."
"If Sabrina finds him, they'll definitely look good together."
"Who's going to look good together huh?" the mother of the two boys butted in as she arrived from her three days seminar.
"Mom, you're home," uttered Allan and immediately kissed his mom on the cheeks.
"I'm glad you're home mom, I missed you," happily Ryan told and approached his mom kissing her on the cheeks.
"Again, who looks good together, huh? What had you two young boys been up to," Aubrey asked once more looking at her two young boys.
"Nothing, really mom, I think it's Sabrina who should tell you about it," the answer of Ryan to his mother.
"Why, Sabrina did already say yes to Luke huh?" their mother quickly asked looking alternately at the two young boys.
"Oh no, we're not talking about Luke mom," the fast statement of Ryan. "And again it's Sabrina who should tell you about him."
"And where is your sister Sabrina huh?" Aubrey asked once more.
"I think she'll be home moments from now, mom," answered Allan quickly.
"You two have a new aquarium," Aubrey said looking at the two fishes lying on the pebbles.
"Huh, yes mom. Sabrina bought it for us. But the fishes we caught them!" Ryan quickly bragged to his mother.
"Good looking fishes," praised Aubrey. "Okay, I'll leave you two out here. I'll go up to my room and rest. I'm really tired from my long flight coming home. I brought you dried mangoes and cashew nuts. Just share it with Sabrina when she comes home."
"Mom, it's Sabrina's birthday tomorrow," Ryan reminded his mom.
"I know, and that's why I made sure I'm home to greet her tomorrow," answered Aubrey and immediately left the two young boys in the living room. "
"Mom really reacted to what she heard about Sabrina," Ryan said looking at the delicacies their mother brought them.
"I haven't eaten cashew nuts for a long time. I'm glad mom brought these to us. And boy she brought us a lot," excitedly Allan said and immediately started eating the cashew nuts.
"Me, I missed dried mangoes," Ryan said and immediately opened and ate the sweet dried mangoes.
The two ate and ate the delicacies that their mother brought them. And Raffy sadly watched at the two young boys enjoying their food.
The two decided to open the television and watched. And Raffy and the yellow butterfly fish watched from behind them. While Raffy was watching television he kept on thinking about Sabrina. If only Sabrina could see me, maybe she'll fall in love with me. I will not despair; I will fight for my Sabrina. I'm not the handsomest merman for nothing, Raffy thought and felt good. He suddenly swam around the fish tank and started thinking of new ways on how he could make Sabrina throw him a flying kiss. Suddenly, Sabrina came home and immediately greeted her two brothers watching television.
"How are my two handsome young brothers huh?"
"Still as handsome as you left us early this morning," the quick answer of Allan smiling at his sister who just arrived.
"Sabrina, mom's home, she's resting in her room," stated Ryan.
"Oh, good, she came home for my eighteenth birthday," uttered Sabrina.
"Hey Sabrina, we kind of slipped. Mom knew you like someone," apologetically Ryan told his sister.
"It's okay, just don't tell Luke. I don't think he can take it," answered Sabrina smiling a little. "Hey your flying fish looks so happy inside the tank."
"I think it's more like he's happy to see you!" teased Allan to his sister looking at how active the flying fish suddenly became.
"Hey Sabrina that flying fish is amazing. He's more intelligent than our doggy," excitedly Allan told Sabrina.
"Really," Sabrina just said and immediately approached and looked at Raffy inside the fish tank.
               "Watch, stand!" Allan commanded.
"How did you teach him that?" Sabrina exclaimed looking at Raffy standing still in the middle of the aquarium.
               "Fly!" Allan commanded once more.
"My goodness, he's amazing," exclaimed Sabrina once more looking at the flying fish, flew on all directions inside the aquarium.
               "Stop," Ryan commanded aloud.
"This is unbelievable!" exclaimed Sabrina once again. "You haven't answered me yet, how did you teach him to do all that tricks?"
"We did not, we commanded doggy, but it's Rap-rap who obeyed and did the tricks," the fast answer of Allan looking at his sister.
"Really," Sabrina uttered and looked intently at Raffy. She approached closer right in front where Raffy was swimming still. "You're amazing, do you know that huh?"
My, she really likes me, Raffy happily thought. "But you'll like me better after you give me your flying kiss!"
"You're so cute I could almost kiss you!" Sabrina said and looked like she was about to give him a flying kiss.
"This is it, she's going to give me her flying kiss!" excitedly Raffy said and went even closer to her.
"Hi Sabrina," Luke suddenly greeted as he approached the three of them in the living room.
"Hi Luke," Sabrina turned around and greeted Luke.
Just a little and she could have given me her flying kiss; Raffy thought and looked at the new guest.
"Good evening kids," Luke greeted the two young boys.
Allan and Ryan smiled and greeted him back.
                  "Have a sit," Sabrina invited.
"Is that chocolates for me Luke huh?" Allan teased looking at the chocolates Luke was holding.
"Of course it's not for you. It’s for Sabrina," Ryan answered for Luke laughing a little.
"Just give it to me Luke, so these two could start eating," Sabrina suggested and immediately gave the chocolates to her younger brothers.
"Hey you two, since you're already took Sabrina's chocolates. How about you both enjoy it somewhere else huh," stated Luke smiling a little.
"Okay, and thanks," Allan answered and immediately left with his older brother.
Suddenly, the two became quiet and Raffy alternately looked at Sabrina and Luke.
"Sabrina, you know I love you," started Luke. "And I have been courting you for a long time now. I talked to Maria and she told me something..."
"Huh," Sabrina just said realizing what Luke was about to say.
"Is it true huh?" Luke asked looking intently at Sabrina.
Sabrina did not answer and looked down.
"It's true then. But you only saw him once, how can you be in love with him..." Luke asked.
"I don't know really Luke. It's inside me, and I keep thinking about him. I wish it's you that I love Luke, maybe, it would be easier. I don't even know if I'll still see him..." Sabrina answered looking at Luke near her.
"You really love him do you," Luke uttered softly.
"Yes, and I hope you understand Luke."
"I love you Sabrina, and all I want is for you to be happy."
"Thank you Luke. I know you're a good man, I know someday you'll find someone that will love you and make you happy."
Afterwards, Luke left and Sabrina remained seated on the sofa. And Raffy simply looked at Sabrina and thought, I wonder who's sadder now Luke or me... I love you Sabrina and all I want is for you to be happy too, Raffy repeated and imitated Luke's statement and laughed at himself. Suddenly, Sabrina stood up and approached Raffy inside the aquarium.
"Good night, I'll see you tomorrow okay," Sabrina said and went back to her room.
"Good night Sabrina," Raffy answered looking at Sabrina as she climbed up the stairs.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                 Chapter 12

"Help, mom!" Raffy opened his eyes from inside the aquarium and listened once more. "Mom, Mom!"                                                                                                                Immediately, Allan and Ryan went out of their rooms and ran down the stairs. Aubrey soon opened her door and followed her two boys going to the sound of the scream.
            "Mom, help!"
Raffy swam uneasily inside the tank. What's happening, that's Sabrina screaming out there. How can I help her?
"Mom, help!" Sabrina screamed from the shallow sea outside their big beach house.
Allan, Ryan and Aubrey stood still as they watched Sabrina in the shallow water on the beach.
"Mom, I turned into a mermaid...." Sabrina uttered softly looking at her golden mermaid tail.
"Sabrina..." Allan finally said a word.
Aubrey cried looking at her daughter. She sat on the sand and cried looking at Sabrina and her golden mermaid tail. "Sabrina... Sabrina..."
"What's going to happen to me now mom...." with tears rolling down her eyes Sabrina asked her mother.
Ryan approached Sabrina in the shallow water and hugged. "It's okay, maybe there's still a way to cure you..."
Suddenly, Sabrina smiled and laughed a little, "You don't use that on me, that's my line on your flying fish."
Allan laughed a little and approached his mermaid sister. "Sabrina, you got lots of gold for your birthday present. You're rich!"
Aubrey immediately stopped crying and approached Sabrina in the water hugging her.
"Hey Sabrina, I think we should take you back to our house for breakfast, maybe we're all just hungry that's why we're all seeing golden fish tail," Allan suggested, teased and laughed a little.
Slowly, Sabrina crawled with her new golden mermaid tail. She crawled and crawled. And right after she got out of the sea water, Allan screamed, "Sabrina you're mermaid tail disappeared!"
Sabrina looked down and saw her legs. Allan and Ryan looked at each other and then to their mom. Sabrina crawled back into the sea and immediately turned back into a mermaid.
"Your mermaid tail has reappeared, Sabrina!" Allan exclaimed.
Sabrina once again crawled out of the water, and immediately her mermaid tail disappeared. She immediately stood up and walked.
"I don't know what to say, mom, what's happening to Sabrina. Will I be a merman when I turn eighteen huh?" Ryan immediately asked.
Already calmed, Aubrey spoke, "I think it's time that I tell you about your father Sabrina." And Aubrey told her children everything about her and Leonardo, the merman father of Sabrina.
"I always thought my father Leonardo, was just like Ryan and Allan's father. I never expected that he was a merman," the statement of Sabrina reacting to her mother's narration.
"Mom, you said that you only married our father because your family wanted to save their family name from any embarrassment. Does that mean that you never loved dad huh?" Ryan suddenly asked his mother Aubrey while they were all seated on the fine white sand on the beach.
"Yes, when I married him I didn't love your father Ryan, Allan. But your father was a good man. He took good care and loved me. Eventually, I learned to love him back. And every time, he went home and plays with the two of you and even with Sabrina, I learned to love him even more. And it hurt me deeply when we all lost him. I lost a good and wonderful husband, and the three of you lost the best father," the answer of Aubrey to her son Ryan.
"Yeah, I could still remember how wonderful dad was, even if I wasn't really his daughter, he loved and treated me fairly like he did to both of you Allan and Ryan. When he bought you two new toys and clothes, he also bought for me," agreed and added Sabrina.
"Yeah, but I remember he bought more toys for us and he bought more clothes for you," Allan answered and laughed a little.
"And now that he is gone, we must continue loving and supporting each other for that's what he always wanted us to do," butted in Aubrey listening to her children by her side on the beach.
"Hey Sabrina, are you still sad considering that you only grow mermaid tail on sea water huh?" the quick question of Allan to his sister glancing at her to his right.
"I don't think you should be sad Sabrina. Come to think of it, now you can swim anywhere in the sea and dive deep down without an oxygen tank," the statement of Ryan laughing a little.
"Hey can you really breathe underwater huh Sabrina? Why don't you try it now? This is our private place, no one can see you out there," the suggestion of Allan to his sister Sabrina and looked at his mother.
"Yeah, I think I should," agreed Sabrina and immediately crawled back into the shallow water. Her golden mermaid tail immediately reappeared and after she crawled a little farther, she started swimming. In the deeper water, Sabrina easily swam. She swam and swam in the sea as her family watched her.
"How is it Sabrina, do you like it huh?" the loud question of Ryan looking at his sister swimming in the deeper sea.
"I love it, I never felt this good when I'm swimming in the sea," the excited answer of Sabrina swimming. "This is great!"
"Hey Sabrina, try breathing underwater now!" the loud suggestion of Ryan looking at Sabrina from the beach front.
Immediately, Sabrina submerged and stayed under for a long time. Aubrey, Ryan, and Allan waited until Sabrina resurface from under the sea water. They waited and waited and when they started worrying, Sabrina emerged from under the sea and waved at them smiling. "My goodness, I can really breathe under water. It's just like I'm walking in the streets and the view under water has never looked this great, it's like I'm at home watching a beautiful scene on our television. It's fantastic! It's amazing! I'm so comfortable out here!"
"Really, me too," answered Allan. "It's like I'm watching a beautiful mermaid with a beautiful golden mermaid tail in a television or a movie. You look so amazing out there Sabrina!"
Sabrina swam and swam over and over again, trying and enjoying her new golden mermaid tail. And the three watched happily at Sabrina, swimming gracefully in the sea.
"Sabrina, come back to the shore now. We still haven't eaten breakfast!" the loud shout of Allan laughing a little.
"Okay, I'm swimming back to the shore now!" answered Sabrina happily to her brother and swiftly swam ashore.
"My goodness, you swam so fast Sabrina. You should join the Olympics and compete in the men's division. You'll beat them all!" Allan teased and laughed even harder.
And as soon as Sabrina got out of the sea water, her two legs reappeared. Happily, the three headed back to their big beach house.
Raffy immediately calmed down when he saw Sabrina coming in to the house. He took a deep breath and smiled looking at her. He was so glad she seemed okay and happy. He felt frustrated earlier; he couldn't get out of the aquarium and help her. When Sabrina passed by the aquarium, he immediately flew to get her attention. She immediately saw him and gave him her smile. Raffy smiled back and swam swiftly around the aquarium. Even when they had already entered the dining room, Raffy was still rejoicing that nothing really bad happened to the woman that he loved.
"You seem really happy to see her, don't you Rap-rap," noticed Ton-ton the yellow butterfly fish.
"Yes, I am. I'm very happy she's okay," answered Rap-rap the flying fish.
"Are you really a merman huh like you said before?" asked the yellow fish looking intently at Rap-rap.
"Yes, only I turned into a flying fish. But now maybe there's a reason why I turned into this and I just have to find out why," answered Rap-rap in his good mood.
"I think I know what happened to you Rap-rap," started the yellow fish.
"Huh?" Rap-rap just said looking at the fish talking to him from inside the big aquarium.
"A golden genie turned you into a flying fish, right?" stated and asked the yellow butterfly fish.
"And how did you know that. I don't remembering telling you. Ah... you were there when it happened huh?" the question of Rap-rap to his aquarium companion.
"No, I wasn't there. It's just that we butterfly fishes know a lot. You can only go back as a merman in two ways," the yellow butterfly fish started once more looking at Rap-rap beside him.
"Okay, I'm listening," Rap-rap just said.
"First, you can be a merman if a lady throws you a flying kiss," the proud statement of the yellow butterfly fish looking at Rap-rap.
"I know that already," answered Rap-rap laughing a little.
"Of course, I know you knew. You're already a flying, you must have learned that from other flying fishes you hang out with in the ocean," the yellow butterfly fish answered back laughing.
"How about the second one huh, what's the second way?" asked Rap-rap once again and waited for him to answer.
"You can be a merman once again if you rub the golden ducky and wish on the golden genie," the quick answer of the yellow butterfly fish.
"But I also know that. The problem is, I don't think I can still find that golden duck. It disappeared in the ocean together with the genie. So my only hope really is to get the flying kiss, and I'm hoping that I get it from Sabrina," the fast answer of Rap-rap from inside the aquarium. "If it's still in the ocean, other mermen from other kingdoms, or humans could find it and they'll be the new master. And the golden genie could no longer grant my wish."
"That's where you're mistaken my friend," the fast answer of the yellow butterfly fish smiling at Rap-rap.
          "Huh," Rap-rap just said.
"That golden genie is not a lost and found genie, or a finder's keeper genie. It doesn't obey anyone who last rubbed it," stated the yellow butterfly fish proudly.
"Huh," Rap-rap just said once again.
"That golden genie is a family genie and all of us yellow butterfly fishes know that," answered the proud yellow butterfly fish.
"What do you mean by a family genie?" asked Raffy quickly.
"It means that, it will obey only any direct descendant of its original master. If it obeyed you, it meant that you are a direct descendant of its original master," the proud statement of the knowledgeable yellow butterfly fish.
"I never heard of that from any of my relative or ancestors. I never knew we have genie waiting for our command," the statement of Rap-rap. "And even if that's true, there's a very slim chance of me finding it in the ocean if it is indeed in the ocean."
"That's where you're wrong again my friend," another proud statement of the yellow butterfly fish.
"Huh,” Rap-rap just said looking at the proud yellow fish.
"I told you, he's your family genie. He responds on call like a family doctor," another and prouder statement of the yellow butterfly fish.
"Huh," Rap-rap just said looking once again at the yellow fish.
"Plain and simple, you only have to call him to appear, just like a doctor land or underwater doctor," the louder and prouder statement of the butterfly fish.
"Huh, if I call him right now, the golden genie will appear magically and no need to rub the golden ducky huh?" the fast question of Rap-rap seeing and feeling a big hope for him.
"Oh no," was the fast answer of the butterfly fish.
         "Huh," Raffy just said.
"You're a flying fish today, so he won't recognize your voice from where he is. He responds and serves merman descendant's call from afar, not flying fishes'," was his fast answer. "Okay, I'll make this quick now. After you become a merman once again, through a flying kiss from a lady, you can summon for the golden genie at your weakest," the statement of the butterfly fish.
"At my weakest, what do you mean by that?" asked Rap-rap.
"Okay, when you're about to die and you call for him, your golden genie, he will appear immediately and grant your wish," answered the yellow butterfly fish.
"You really, you give me too much hope. And then you'll end with, I can summon my genie when I'm about to die. And by that you mean, when I'm about to die as a merman and not as a flying fish," the answer of Rap-rap complaining a little looking at the yellow butterfly fish. "And the biggest problem is, nobody hears when I ask for a flying kiss. That alone is a big problem, you really."
"Only, I haven't told you, I'm the fortune teller of our yellow butterfly fish race. And I'm the best, you know," the proudest statement of the yellow butterfly fish smiling at Rap-rap from inside the big aquarium.
        "Huh!" Rap-rap just said aloud.
"Yes and today is your luckiest day. Today and really today, you will become a merman once again and you will have the love of the woman you love, without doing anything!" the loudest and proudest statement of the proud yellow butterfly fish.
"Huh... really... you mean..." Rap-rap softly and finally said, smiling and excited.
        "Yes..."

                                        Chapter 13

While their mother Aubrey was cooking breakfast for the four of them, Sabrina, Ryan, and Allan sat around the dining table and talked.
"Sabrina, now that you seem to like being a mermaid," started Ryan. "Maybe, you'll stay under water and leave me and Allan in our house all day."
"You need not worry about that, because you two are my favorite brothers in the whole world, be it on land or underwater," assured Sabrina to her two younger brothers. "Besides, I don't think I could find anyone cuter than the two of you."
"Well, now that used that word cuter, I'm suddenly reminded of that man you painted and displayed in your room," the statement of Ryan looking at his sister sitting beside him.
"Yeah, I'm really curious about that man. Are you sure you really painted him correctly huh?" asked Allan. "Maybe you just mistakenly drawn him, and made him look much handsomer than he really is. That's why you fall in love with the man in the painting."
"You, of course I painted him correctly. I have a good memory and I was awarded the best painter in our class, remember," explained Sabrina looking alternately at her two brothers.
"If you're that in love with this man, what will you do when you see him? For example you see him in the mall huh? Will you immediately approach him and tell him you like him or love him huh?" the questions of Ryan looking intently at Sabrina.
"I don't know, but definitely I'll make sure that he sees me. And if I'm really that beautiful like you two always told me, maybe I don't have to do anything other than look at him and look away and smile a little," the answer of Sabrina giggling.
"I think that's exactly what's going to happen, the moment he sees you he'll be helplessly in love with you and chase you wherever you go. I bet if he only saw you when you saw him on the yacht, he would have probably swam fast and chase wherever your yacht went," speculated Ryan nodding his head gently.
"Yeah, who knows maybe he had already seen you and is just waiting for the right time to approach you," added Allan looking at Sabrina.
"Maybe you two are really hungry, and we should help mom prepare the table, I think she's done cooking our meal," the fast answer of Sabrina, stood up and went to the kitchen.
The two young boys immediately arranged the chairs properly and removed the books that they left on lying on it the other night. Aubrey and Sabrina shortly went out of the kitchen carrying rice, beef steak, some vegetables, coffee and milk.
"Help your sister with the trays, Ryan," ordered Aubrey as she walked going to the dining table behind Sabrina.
Ryan immediately took the tray containing milk and coffee. He then placed the glasses on the table near their plates. Sabrina then placed the rice, beef steak, and vegetables on the middle of the table. After they were all seated, they started eating the delicious meal that their mother Aubrey cooked for all of them.
"You always cook delicious beef steak, mom," Allan praised his mom.
"And you have a good way of cooking vegetables, that even us young boys like to eat it every day," the praise of Ryan to his mom, Aubrey.
"And all I want in return from the two of you, is to go home early after school, so mommy could get to see your handsome little faces in our house," answered Aubrey smiling a little at her children looking at her.
"Yeah, me too, I want to see your handsome faces every time I go home. You two make me happy every time I see you and hear you talk to each other," added Sabrina and smiling at her two cute younger brothers.
"Hey Sabrina, what's your plan for your birthday huh? Are we still going to have a little party huh?" Allan asked.
"No, I don't think so. We live in a beach house. You remember, I refused mom’s offer to celebrate my eighteenth birthday at ballroom in a hotel. But instead, I chose and told my friends that I'll just celebrate it simply in here, in our beach house. And we all know how our parties here end up, we always go to the beach afterwards and swim, or ride my friend’s yacht and jump into the sea and have fun. I trust my friends, alright, but I don't think they're ready to see my new mermaid tail," the explanation of Sabrina to her younger brother.
"I think you're right. But you already told them, you're going to have a little party in here," stated Allan looking at his sister.
"I don't know, maybe you two should just help me find an excuse, so they won't come here," her reply to her brother.
"You Allan, what do you suggest huh?" asked Ryan to his younger brother.
"How about, we just put house for sale sign and lock the house, and leave for a day," suggested Allan smirking. "Maybe, they'll think we're now poor, and they'll pity us instead of getting furious for wasting gasoline going here."
"You, how about you Ryan what do you suggest huh?" Sabrina asked her other younger brother.
"I think, I agree with Allan, that's a funny plan and very easy I'll write the sign if you like," the fast answer of Ryan and laughed hard. "I don't really know Sabrina. Maybe, I'm not good with excuses, I always tell the truth."
"Yeah, we really have a problem," said Aubrey. "But at least that's the only problem we have right now, just to find the right excuse."
"I know, I'll tell them you found the man you saw in the sea. And he begged you to celebrate your birthday with his family to introduce you to them and the three of us will just follow you there," the suggestion of Allan and laughed once again. "That would make them feel happy for you, and they will no longer mind even if they already wasted gasoline going to our house."
"Speaking of that man Sabrina, you haven't really told me about him," was the statement of Aubrey looking intently at Sabrina.
"I'm sorry mom; it's just that I haven't seen him afterwards. I didn't know if should tell you about him," the answer of Sabrina looking at her mother by her side.
"Is it right you only saw him once in the sea, huh?" asked Aubrey.
"Yes mom, and only for a few seconds, but saw the side of his face clearly. In fact, I even painted him from memory, it's inside my room if you like to see it," the offer of Sabrina to her mom.
Aubrey went quiet for a moment and spoke, "You know that's how I saw your father Leonardo, I saw him in the sea while I was in a ship though."
Allan and Ryan suddenly looked at each other and then to Sabrina.
"Are you saying mom that, that man that Sabrina like could actually be a merman himself huh, just like Sabrina's father huh?" the fast question of Ryan to his mother.
"I hope not because I know how difficult it was," the answer of Aubrey to her son.
"What if I'm really in love with a merman mom and I see him once again, will you ask me to stop seeing him huh?" the question of Sabrina to her mother.
Aubrey didn't say a word and took a deep breath looking at her children.
"Yeah, but what about you Sabrina, would you still love him if he indeed is a merman huh?" asked Allan suddenly.
"I love him..." she answered softly.”But I really want mom to approve of it, because I'm beginning to realize now that he is indeed a merman. I remember, right after I saw him, he dove down and submerged without an oxygen tank or even a mask and the islands around were so far. And he never showed up at the sea surface even if I waited for a long time," the statement of Sabrina.
"What now, mom," Ryan asked his mother looking intently at her.
"But I'm already a mermaid. It may not be as difficult as you think mom. I think it would be even better at least I would be with someone who knows how it is to have fish tail. He knows the sea very well and he could help and guide me how to adjust or get used to sea, as a mermaid I mean," the statement Sabrina looking at her mother. "And I don't need to hide my identity as a mermaid to him, unlike, if I go out with an ordinary man."
"Yeah, I think you're right. You're now a mermaid and we must accept everything that goes with it," finally Aubrey agreed.
"Thanks mom," Sabrina thanked her mom for her understanding.
"It's settled then, but still we haven't found an excuse for her scheduled small birthday party today," Ryan reminded all of them.
"I know, I'll just call them and ask them out to have lunch with me at some restaurant and then I'll go home and we can have our own small birthday party," the suggestion of Sabrina.
"Yeah, at least we'll still have small birthday party, we'll just make Ton-ton and Rap-rap as your special guests," agreed and stated Ryan.
"Yeah, let's just eat ice creams, spaghetti, cake, cookies, chocolates and colas," the suggestion of Allan.
"Okay, I'm going to my room now and I'll start calling my friends and ask them out," the statement of Sabrina, stood and immediately headed to her room upstairs.

                                            Chapter 14

After Sabrina had called her friends from her cell phone, she immediately left the house to meet them in a restaurant. After they had fed the two fishes, the two young boys sat on the sofa and watched television. Ton-ton and Rap-rap watched and laughed with them from inside the big aquarium. After a few minutes, Aubrey went out of her room and told her children to stay home as she goes to the mall to shop for Sabrina's small birthday party.
"Bye mom," the young boys said their good bye to their mom and after they had closed the door they immediately sat back to the sofa and continued watching television.
"Hey Ton-ton, are you really sure that I'm going to be a merman once again today huh?" the question of Ton-ton looking at the yellow butterfly fish.
"I already told you that, and I never made mistakes in my prediction, and just in case this will be the first time," the yellow butterfly fish answered and laughed at Rap-rap.
"You really, okay I'll believe. Maybe, it will happen sooner if I'll give you my complete trust," the answer of Rap-rap. "And in advance I'm thanking you already and good bye, you can now eat all the fish food that these two young boys sprinkle down the aquarium."
"What thanks and good bye," asked and answered the yellow butterfly fish laughing. "I'm a kind yellow butterfly fish yes, but I charge for my services too, once in a while. When you go free so should I."
"Huh, okay. I know what you mean," answered Rap-rap. "These two young boys will loss me and then they'll loss you too. How do you think they would feel huh?"
"They'll definitely be sad. But I'm not born to become a house pet. I was born to serve all the fishes in the wide sea. I'm a great fortune teller and I have a destiny to fulfill just like you," answered the yellow butterfly fish."
"Destiny, I have destiny huh?" asked Ra-rap looking at the yellow fish.
"Yes, but I'm a fortune teller. I follow rules and that I'm not allowed to say."
"Okay, I understand," answered Rap-rap. "But going back, after we're both free, then we'll leave these two young boys with an empty aquarium."
"Not really, I know some butterfly fishes who would be willing to live inside human houses so long as you give them lots of food, and free TV," the answer of the other fish.
"That's great, so it's settled we'll both be free together and fulfill our destinies," the happy and contented statement of Rap-rap.
"Yes, to destinies and beyond!" answered proudly of the proud yellow butterfly fish.
Immediately, the two happy and contented fishes watched television once again with the two young boys, Ryan and Allan.
"Allan, let's go to the dining room and eat lunch and then let's just go back here and wait for mom and Sabrina to return," the suggestion of Ryan to his younger brother.
"Okay, you just heat up what remains of our breakfast this morning," the statement of Allan and immediately went to the dining room with his older brother.
After the food was heated by Ryan who was properly trained by his mom how to operate the microwave oven, the two young boys started eating. They ate and ate their lunch. And when they were done they immediately drank their pineapple juices.
"That was delicious even if was just reheated," said Ryan to his brother.
"Yeah, that was definitely delicious. Let's go back to the living room, watch TV and wait for mom and Sabrina to come home," the answer of Allan and immediately walked with Ryan towards the living room. And once again Ton-ton and Rap-rap watched TV with the two young boys.
"Hi mom," the greeting of Ryan as Aubrey entered the living room with all the foods that she bought from the mall.
"Is Sabrina home huh?" the question of Aubrey to her two young children looking at her.
"No, mom," answered Ryan. "Allan, help me with the food that mom bought for Sabrina's birthday."
"Okay," Allan replied and immediately helped Ryan.
"Where do you want us to prepare, here in the living room or in the dining room huh?" asked Aubrey to her children looking at them.
"Here in the living room!" the fast answer of Rap-rap from inside the aquarium.
"How about we set up a table at the beach mom," was the suggestion of Ryan to his mother asking him.
"Okay, if that's what you want," answered Aubrey and smiled at the two of them.
Disappointed a little, Rap-rap watched as the two boys slowly carried the white plastic table and chairs outside on the beach. Aubrey soon followed and covered it with a beautiful pink cloth. The two kids then helped arranged the spaghetti, chocolates, cake, sandwiches, noodles, cookies, ice creams, juice and colas on the table. Aubrey then went back to her room while the two boys waited on the chairs for Sabrina to come home for her birthday.
"I wonder what's taking her long," asked Ryan.
"Don't worry; I know she'll be home soon. You'll see," replied Allan to his brother looking out for Sabrina to pass through their gate.
Moments later Sabrina came and immediately walked happily towards her two younger brothers.
"Sabrina, happy birthday!" was the immediate greetings of the two young boys looking at their beautiful sister Sabrina.
"Thanks," her answer to them. "Ah, and you all decided to set up here on the beach, that's good."
"Mom's in her room, if you’re wondering Sabrina," the statement of Ryan noticing Sabrina looking around their house.
"Huh, okay, I'll fetch her," the answer of Sabrina to Ryan. Immediately Sabrina went to fetch her mom in her room passing by the aquarium. Immediately, Rap-rap swam fast in front of the aquarium to meet her. Sabrina smiled at the two fishes and continued to fetch Aubrey. When she reached the room she immediately entered the slightly opened door and spoke, "Mom, I'm home."
"I'm glad you're home early Sabrina, happy birthday!" her warm greeting to her beloved daughter Sabrina.
"Thanks mom." answered Sabrina kissing her mom on the cheeks. "Are you done here, Allan and Ryan are already waiting for the two of us outside."
"Okay, let's go outside," the answer of Aubrey and walked ahead of her daughter. The two walked in the living room going to their main door.
            "Sabrina!"
Sabrina looked around the living room. "Did anyone call me mom?" Sabrina asked her mom as they passed through the main door.
"No, I don't think so," her answer to Sabrina.
"Huh, okay," Sabrina just said and continued walking outside their house going to the two kids waiting for them at the table.
Seeing Sabrina and Aubrey approaching them, the two kids immediately stood up and sang happy birthday. Sabrina smiled and joined in singing with her two little brothers. Aubrey happily sang with them. Happily the four sang happy birthday and when they were done singing, "Make your wish now Sabrina!" urged Ryan happily to his sister.
Sabrina immediately closed her eyes in front of the candle lit birthday cake, wished and blew all the eighteen candles.
"What did you wish Sabrina?" the fast question of Allan to his sister smiling at her.
"I think I know," Ryan answered and laughed a little.
           "You," uttered Sabrina smiling.
"Allan, already started on the icing, look," Ryan told both Sabrina and Aubrey.
"I just tasted a little mom," confessed Allan laughing a little.
"Let's eat," Aubrey just said and smiled at Allan.
The four then sat around the table and started eating.
"This ice cream is really delicious mom. I'm happy you chose vanilla flavor. This is really my favorite," stated Allan as he happily ate the ice cream on his glass.
"I like this ice cream too mom, this is really delicious," agreed Ryan.
"How was your lunch with your friends Sabrina huh?" asked Allan.
"It was fun, and I'm glad they understood and didn't ask much question. They all sang happy birthday to me and did a little karaoke afterwards," narrated Sabrina smiling a little.
"I'm just glad that you're able to come home early to still celebrate your birthday Sabrina," Ryan told his sister smiling at her.
Happily the four ate all the delicious food and drank the juice and colas that their mother prepared for Sabrina's birthday.
"Are you happy Sabrina huh?" asked Allan smiling at her.
"I'm very happy. This is what I want the most in life, for us to be together always loving one another," answered Sabrina smiling and looking at them.
"This is what every mother wants, to see her children happy and getting along very well," the happy and proud statement of Aubrey looking at her three children.
"Well, to our happiness, cheers!" Allan said aloud, raised his glass and smiled at all of them.
"Yes, to our happiness!" the four of them cheered raising all their glasses.
"We still have a lot of ice creams, let's eat some more," Allan just said.
Happily the four continued celebrating Sabrina's eighteenth birthday on the beach.
And at about four o'clock in the afternoon, they finished celebrating. Aubrey then kissed her children and went back to her room to rest leaving her three children on the beach. The two young boys then played and chased each other laughing aloud. Enjoying the sight of her two little brothers playing in the sand, Sabrina suddenly decided to go to her room and look at her painting. She stood up and went back to their house going to the living room. The two kids noticed and followed her. They saw Sabrina passed by the aquarium and smiled at the two fishes. She decided to approach the two fishes and closer in front of the aquarium.
"Happy birthday, Sabrina," Raffy greeted her.
Noticing her brothers behind her, "Did you hear it Allan, Ryan huh?" was the sudden question of Sabrina.
"Hear what Sabrina," Allan simply uttered looking at his sister in front of the big aquarium
"I think… your flying fish just greeted me happy birthday," the statement of Sabrina and still looking at the aquarium in front of her.
"Huh," Rap-rap uttered from inside the aquarium.
"And he just said huh," the next statement of Sabrina looking more intently at the flying fish in front of her.
"Are you sure Sabrina," the fast statement of Ryan who hurriedly stood on her right.
"Yes, I think..." Sabrina softly answered her brother Ryan.
Can she really hear me now, Rap-rap silently thought from inside the aquarium; okay let's see if she can hear this, "I love you Sabrina!"
"Hahahahahahahaha!" was the loud laughter of Sabrina.
"Why are you laughing so hard Sabrina?" the fast question of Allan standing on her right looking at her.
"He just said he loves me," answered Sabrina and toned down her laughter.
"Really, come one you're lying Sabrina," Allan just said.
"No, I'm not, I swear," answered Sabrina, stopped laughing and looked more closely at the flying fish in front of her inside the aquarium.
Allan looked closer and spoke, "Okay, we'll see. Hey Ra-rap if you did say you love Sabrina, stand on the pebbles!" and immediately Rap-rap swam down and stood straight on the pebbles looking at the three of them in front of him.
"My goodness, he not only speak, he understands every single word we say!" exclaimed Sabrina.
"You're not lying, Sabrina, you could really hear fishes now!" exclaimed Ryan looking at Rap-rap still standing still on the pebbles.
"What else is he saying now huh?" asked Allan.
"He's not saying anything now," Sabrina told her brothers.
Huh, they want me to speak some more, okay, I'll introduce myself, Rap-rap silently decided. "I'm Raffy and I'm a merman," Rap-rap introduced himself looking at Sabrina in front of him.
Suddenly Sabrina turned quiet and looked intently at the flying fish in front of her.
"Did he speak now Sabrina huh?" Allan suddenly asked looking at Rap-rap who was now swimming right in front of Sabrina.
"He said he's a merman and his name is Raffy..." the soft answer of Sabrina.
           "Huh really," Allan just said.
"I love you Sabrina, give me your flying kiss and I'll become a handsome merman once again," earnestly Rap-rap asked Sabrina in front of him.
"If I give you a flying kiss, you'll turn back into handsome merman...?" softly Sabrina said and asked.
Suddenly Allan spoke, "Sabrina could it be that he's the one you're...."
           "Huh," Sabrina just said.
"Give him a flying kiss Sabrina," Ryan urged his sister.
"Give me your flying kiss Sabrina," Rap-rap asked Sabrina once more.
"Okay, I will give you my flying kiss," Sabrina answered and readied her fingers near her lips.
"No!" Allan quickly stopped his sister. "If he's telling the truth, he'll transform and break the aquarium."
Oh I never thought of that, Rap-rap thought and laughed a little.
Quickly Allan left and returned with a pail, filled with sea water from the drum and dipper, he immediately opened the aquarium, placed Rap-rap inside the dipper, and poured him into the pail.
"Let's take him to the sea outside our house," stated Allan.
The three then ran outside of their house going to the shallow sea water.
"Pour him down now, Allan," urged Ryan to his younger brother with Sabrina looking on.
And after he poured, Rap-rap immediately swam in front of them in the shallow sea water on the beach.
Sabrina looked intently on Rap-rap swimming in front of them.
"Go ahead Sabrina give him your flying kiss," Allan urged his sister.
"Are you really sure this will work Rap-rap huh?" hesitantly, Sabrina finally asked looking down on him.
"Yes, I am!" Rap-rap quickly answered.
Sabrina readied her fingers once more and gave Rap-rap her flying kiss. The heavens roared and lightning flashed all over the sky.  Immediately, right in front of Allan, Ryan, and Sabrina, Raffy transformed and became a merman once again.
"Thank you Sabrina," uttered the handsome merman Raffy looking and smiling at the beautiful Sabrina.
              "It's you!" Allan exclaimed
"Huh," Raffy just said from where he was.
"Yeah, it's really him. He's the one you painted Sabrina!" exclaimed Ryan loudly looking at his sister and back to Raffy on the shallow sea.
Suddenly, Raffy understood what the two boys were saying looking at him.
"I'm the one you love Sabrina," Raffy asked softly looking intently at Sabrina in front of him.
Sabrina just stood and looked at Raffy.
"I love you Sabrina. I was the flying fish you saw flying and following you on the yacht. And if you love me too, I'll be the happiest merman in the world. Do you love me too Sabrina," with all his love Raffy waited for Sabrina's answer.
"Come on Sabrina, he heard and understood all the words we said in the living room, he knows," Allan said and laughed.
"Okay," Sabrina just said looking and smiling at the handsome merman in front of him.
"Okay what?" Raffy asked smiling handsomely at her.
"Okay I love you," the very beautiful Sabrina just said and smiled.
"The lady I love, loves me too, Sabrina loves me too!" Raffy spoke aloud, rejoiced for a moment and softly spoke looking at the beautiful Sabrina, "Can I kiss you now huh?"
"Hey, you're very fast the two brothers are here," teased Ryan and laughed.

                                         Chapter 15

"Huh, right you two are still here," Raffy uttered and smiling looking at Sabrina. "Hey, I suddenly remember."
"What is it that you suddenly remember huh Raffy?" asked Allan looking at Raffy in the shallow sea in front of him.
"I really hope that you two boys wouldn't mind, but that yellow butterfly wishes to leave your aquarium and go back to the sea," the statement of Raffy looking at both Allan and Ryan standing on the fine white sand.
"Huh, we already lost our flying fish, meaning you," answered Allan. "We don't want to lose both of you so fast and we really like that yellow butterfly fish too. Huh, why is he a merman too huh?"
"Oh no," answered Raffy laughing. "But he is an important fish to their race; he is actually a great fish fortune teller. In fact, he predicted that I would turn back into a merman today and get the love of the woman I dream of, the love of your beautiful sister Sabrina.
The two young boys looked each other and when they noticed Sabrina looking intently at the two of them, they slowly nodded and both said, "Okay..."
"Your lovely sister Sabrina is so lucky to have both of you for her brothers. You're both good and nice kids, but don't you worry, he told me he knows of  fishes who would like to live in an aquarium so long as you give them  food and free TV," the statement of Raffy, praising and pacifying the two young boys in front of him.
The two boys smiled and cheered up a little. "But we'll definitely miss the two of you Raffy," Allan said and immediately ran back to their house with Ryan following him.
"Sabrina," Raffy called smiling at the beautiful Sabrina from the shallow sea he was swimming gently. "It's just the two of us here; can I kiss you now huh?"
But Sabrina simply looked and smiled back Raffy.
"Can I kiss you now huh, Sabrina," Raffy asked once more looking at the beautiful Sabrina.
"We're back!" shouted the two young boys running towards Sabrina and Raffy, carrying a small pail with them.
"You're really back, I didn't know you two boys are too fast," uttered Raffy smiling and shaking his head gently.
"We're not stupid Raffy, we know your plan," Allan teased laughing a little at the slightly disappointed face of Raffy.
"Okay, I admit you two are really smart, but thanks for agreeing to free Ton-ton," the statement of Raffy looking at the yellow butterfly fish inside the sea water filled pail. "Ton-ton, are you ready to go huh?"
"Yes and thank you for holding to your end of the bargain," thanked the yellow butterfly fish from inside the pail looking up at Raffy looking in.
"Hey yellow butterfly fish, I'm freeing you now, we'll surely miss you," uttered Ryan as he slowly poured the sea water with the fish down the shallow sea water near Raffy.
Immediately, the yellow butterfly fish swam swiftly and happily around Raffy in the clear sea water. He swam and swam around breathing deeply and happily. Sadly, but smiling, the two young boys looked at Ton-ton swimming in the sea water in front of them.
"Hey butterfly fish, you told me you have butterfly fish friends remember," Raffy immediately reminded the yellow butterfly fish noticing the sadness in the two young boys' eyes.
Suddenly, the yellow butterfly fish swam fast and away from all of them and in just a moment returned to them with five new fishes swimming with him. "They are your new keepers, they'll give you all that you want," Ton-ton told the five beautiful fishes he brought with him.
Happily and excitedly, the two boys looked and stared at the five new beautiful yellow butterfly fishes swimming near Ton-ton.
"Thank you Ton-ton, these fishes surely are all cute and pretty fishes," the statement of Allan thanking Ton-ton. Immediately, Ryan dipped the pail they were carrying and voluntarily the five new fishes swam in.
"The two boys seemed happy now, I have to go merman. Farewell....!" and the yellow butterfly fish swam away from them.
Looking at the yellow butterfly fish swimming away from them, Raffy and the others were surprised when suddenly the butterfly fish turned into a big Sea Horse. And silently, Raffy immediately realized that the yellow butterfly fish was the yellow Sea Horse fortune teller inside the big golden clam he spoke before.
"He wasn't a merman, he was a big Sea Horse," Allan just said from where he was standing.
The two boys suddenly looked back at Raffy swimming gently in the shallow sea. And Raffy simply smiled back at them and to the beautiful Sabrina.
"Raffy, do you really love our sister huh?" asked Allan suddenly looking intently at Raffy's face.
"Yes, I love her, I love Sabrina with all my heart," the heartfelt answer of Raffy.
"Good, but I'm just wondering... how old are you huh?" the sudden question of Ryan.
"Me, I'm twenty-one years old, I'm a twenty-one year old merman," answered Raffy looking and smiling at Ryan.
"Are you sure, are you sure you're not some kind of a one thousand year old merman huh, and you just look young huh?" asked Ryan.
"Yeah, I'm definite, I'm a twenty-one year old handsome merman," Raffy answered confidently and laughed a little looking at Ryan.
"I just want to be sure," Ryan just said.
"Promise us, you'll take good care and protect our sister," Allan told Raffy looking intently at him.
"Yes, I promise I'll take very good care and protect her," Raffy promised.
"Good, we give you our trust," Allan just said. "Ryan let's go back inside and put these new fishes inside our aquarium."
Immediately, the two young boys went inside their house leaving Sabrina and Raffy alone in the beach.
"Sabrina," Raffy called looking at Sabrina. "Is it okay if I ask you to sit with me here in the shallow sea water huh?"
Sabrina looked at Raffy and thought for a moment. Slowly she walked towards Raffy and when she was near the sea water, she sat on the sand, and gently dipped her legs in the shallow sea water. And to Raffy's surprise, Sabrina's two gorgeous legs rapidly transformed into a golden mermaid tail.
"Do you still love me Raffy, huh?” asked Sabrina softly looking at Raffy in front of her.
Raffy suddenly swam nearer Sabrina and held both her hands. "I love you Sabrina. As a human being or as a mermaid I'll love you all the same. I never felt like this for anyone my whole life, it's the sight of you that makes my life worthwhile. I love you and only you Sabrina..."
"I love you the first time I saw you Raffy," Sabrina softly answered looking intently at the golden tailed merman holding her hands.
Suddenly, Raffy pulled Sabrina closer and hugged her gently in the shallow sea. And gently he asked, "Can I kiss you Sabrina..."
And when Sabrina didn't answer, he kissed her gently on the lips and hugged her tighter. He then stopped looked and admired Sabrina's beautiful face near his. Gently, he moved and sat besides her, holding her hand, glanced at her and looked far and smiled looking proud, happy and contented. Sabrina felt the love that Raffy had for her. And the thought of it made her the happy woman and mermaid. Contented just holding each other’s hands the two leaned closer to their sides and continued looking at the wide sea in front of them.

                                         Chapter 16

"Sabrina, am I right that you turned into a mermaid when I heard you shout early in the morning today huh?" asked Raffy to Sabrina by his side sitting in the shallow sea.
"Yes, and I was so scared, I didn't know what to do. Fortunately, we realized that I only turn into a mermaid when my legs touches the sea," narrated Sabrina to the merman beside her.
"So that's why you suddenly heard me, when I greeted you. I had been calling you for a flying kiss from the yacht and from inside the aquarium but you just couldn't hear me," Raffy concluded and narrated to the mermaid with golden tail beside him.
"Yeah, I think that's the reason why," Sabrina answered Raffy.
"And I feel lucky that, even if you're now both mermaid and a human being your flying kiss still worked on me. Otherwise, I would have stayed as a flying fish forever, because, after I had seen you on that yacht, I never wished for anyone's flying kiss other than yours," narrated Raffy smiling at the beautiful mermaid with a golden tail beside him. "And I feel luckier that it was me you actually saw in the sea and fell in love. You know I was so jealous and sad when you turned down Luke for the man you painted. I didn't you and the two boys were just talking about me. But I wonder how come you turned into a mermaid Sabrina..."
"My mom told me, she met and fall in love with a merman before she married my brothers’ father, my stepfather," answered Sabrina. "My father is a merman Raffy..."
"Raffy...!" shouted from someone swimming towards them on the shallow sea on the beach. "Raffy!"
And immediately Raffy realized that it was Tristan calling him ahead of them. He immediately called back, "Tristan...!"
Tristan swam faster towards them looking alternately at Raffy and the beautiful mermaid beside him. "I'm so glad I finally found you. And you're a merman once again Raffy," the statement of Tristan as he reached the two. "And you're with a beautiful mermaid, I must say."
"She's Sabrina, and she's my lady," answered Raffy to Tristan smiling.
"It's nice to meet you Sabrina," greeted Tristan smiling at both of them.
"It's nice to meet you too Tristan," Sabrina greeted back pleasantly. "I hope you don't mind Sabrina, but the king had commanded us to find and bring back Raffy to our kingdom as soon as possible."
Sabrina suddenly looked at Raffy's face. But Raffy simply smiled and placed his arm around her and spoke, "Just tell the king that I had turned back into a merman and I will go home after a few days."
"Raffy that was our original mission, to find you and bring you back into our kingdom, but now something's up in the sea near our kingdom. We need you there..." answered Tristan worriedly.
"Huh, what's wrong, what had happened Tristan?" Raffy asked quickly.
"Nothing happened to our palace, it's the humans. There are ten big ships filled with hundreds and hundreds of human passengers and they are being surrounded by hundreds of fierce green tailed alien mermen. They are stranded and held as captives in the sea, south near our kingdom. You're the strongest among us and it's you who could better help them," the statement of Tristan looking at his friend in front of him.
Raffy glanced at Sabrina beside him and spoke, "I really want to stay and be with you Sabrina but I need to do this. I haven't told you yet, but I believe I turned into a flying fish because I did wrong to humans. And this is my chance to redeem myself," uttered Raffy looking at Sabrina.
"I won't ask what you did Raffy and if this is really important to you, I'm letting you go for now. But promise me, you'll come back to me and soon..." Sabrina told Raffy softly and concerned.
"Thank you Sabrina, I love you and I promise I'll return as soon as I can," promised Raffy and gently kissed her on the cheeks.
"Let's go Raffy!" urged Tristan and glanced at Sabrina. "Farewell Sabrina..."
"I'll see you again Sabrina..." Raffy bid good bye to Sabrina and started swimming away from the beach.
Worriedly, Sabrina looked as Raffy and Tristan slowly disappeared in the sea far ahead of her. Quietly she prayed that Raffy would return to her safe and sound.

                                       Chapter 17

The mermen Tristan and Raffy swam fast in the wide sea. They swam and swam for a long time going south of their kingdom. Finally, the two reached the part of the sea, and immediately Raffy saw the ten big ships in the sea surrounded by two hundred one fierce looking green alien mermen swimming. From afar, Raffy, his ten mermen friends and forty mermen soldiers, watched and surveyed the situation. They surveyed the ten ships filled with hundreds and hundreds of scared human passengers.
"What shall we do Raffy?" asked Duncan one of his ten mermen friends near him and in front of the forty mermen soldiers.
Raffy thought for a moment and answered, "We still do not know what these green alien mermen want. I'll swim closer and talk to their leader first." Raffy immediately swam closer and when he saw the passengers of the ship looking at him, he immediately smiled at them.
"Watch out the mean and loud merman is back, he's no longer a flying fish. We're doomed, we're all going to die!" screamed the horrified passenger who recognized Raffy from the ship Raffy shook.
"Their leader is here, the worst merman in the whole world. We have no hope. We're dying and drowning moments from now!" shouted the loud and proud passenger of the ship that Raffy shook.
"He saw me laughed at him when he turned into a flying fish. He came for revenge! He's going to kill me ahead of us all!" shouted the young boy who lost his golden rubber ducky.
"We're doomed. Farewell world!" shouted the most scared ship passenger who also recognized Raffy.
Red-faced with embarrassment, Raffy swam closer, looked up and spoke loudly, "I know I wronged you humans and I'm sorry. With all my sincerity I am asking for apologies and your forgiveness. I came to help and save you from these alien mermen. Once again I'm sorry... Have you all forgiven me now huh?" Raffy suddenly asked and smiled once more at the extremely scared hundreds and hundreds of ship passengers.
"No, we haven't!" the fast answer of the loud and proud passenger of the ship that Raffy shook. "Rescue us first and we will forgive you!"
"Yes we will!" agreed the other passenger who recognized Raffy the merman they once saw beneath their ship.
"Yes, we will forgive you. We will give your our best forgiveness. You can have all the forgiveness you want just save us please...!" shouted the loud and proud passenger Raffy once had few loud words with.
"Okay, just sit there, relax and watch!" answered Raffy loudly and smiling at his handsomest and best to all the ten ships' passengers looking at him down the sea water.
And indeed all the passengers of the ten ships sat, relaxed, and watched as Raffy the strongest merman swam nearer to the captain of the fierce green alien mermen surrounding the ten big ships.
"Greetings my friends, I came here to talk to you, merman to merman. Why the sudden visit my friends? What is it you want, just say it I'm listening.....!" the loud and proud address of the mighty merman, Raffy feeling not an amount of fear in his veins, and started to ask loudly, "Ah... I know...  you want-"
"Shut up, we know what you're going to say, so we'll answer you in advance. We don't want Jollibee Hamburgers; we have lots of Jollibee hamburgers in our planet."
"Huh," Raffy just said from where he was swimming, listening and looking.
"We don't want your tuna; we have lots of tuna in our planet. And we don't care if you take a bath or not!" the loud statement of the captain of the fierce green alien mermen looking eye to eye at Raffy.
"Okay, I heard you. What is it that you want then, say it!" the loud statement and question of Raffy to the captain of the green alien mermen.
"Okay, listen well. For years we have watched mermen and men pollute the earth's atmosphere with thick and black smoke from factories, from cars, and from ships. We all enjoyed as we see you all destroy your environment. And when we were about to evacuate and live among you, you suddenly came up with worldwide conferences among countries trying to save earth, trying to save earth’s atmosphere, talk about greenhouse effect and protect the ozone layer. We alien green mermen and our green alien dragon lord, breathe on polluted air and water. The polluted the air and water, the better we breathe. And the better we breathe the more powerful and stronger we become. And now we come here and demand that you stop all these worldwide conferences trying to save mother earth. Pollute the air atmosphere and the seas once again. Make us happy or else, all these ship passengers shall perish right before you very eyes....!" the loud statement and explanation of the captain of the green alien mermen with green alien dragon lord.
"I don't know what to say, I don't even know what greenhouse effect is. But leave these poor, innocent humans alone or you all shall all perish right in the midst of our kingdom. This is our kingdom and you are not welcome! Leave or die!" the loud answer and threat of the strongest merman Raffy.
"What's going to happen now, the golden tailed mermen are only about fifty while the green tailed alien mermen are about two hundred. They're greatly outnumbered," worried one very scared passengers talking to the other scared passengers of the ship they were boarding.
"Let's just hope they win so we can all we be safe. I don't want to die in this sea. I've got children to feed and send to school," suggested one scared ship passenger looking down at all the mermen in the sea below them.
"Surrender now, leave or perish!" commanded and threatened Raffy once more looking at their opponents.
"Don't you know how to count, we're two hundred one and you're only fifty one," the loud answer of the captain of the green alien mermen. Immediately the two leaders of each group of mermen, green tailed and golden tailed, commanded their mermen to prepare for battle. Raffy immediately commanded his ten mermen friends and forty golden tailed mermen to line up in fifty away from the ten ships. The captain of the green tailed alien mermen lined up in four fifties facing the mermen from earth. Face to face they stared down at each other ready to battle till the end in the wide sea. Loudly, the two leaders commanded.
"Attack...!" the captain of the green tailed alien mermen commanded loudly.
"Attack..."  Raffy, the leader of the golden tailed earth mermen, commanded aloud.
Fifty versus fifty the two groups, face to face from afar, quickly submerged down into the sea and swam fast towards each other in the middle of them for battle. They swam and swam fast and strong under the sea and when the fifty and the other fifty finally met in the middle, strong punches, jabs, and uppercuts were released. Strong, hard, and powerful punches were released over and over again under the water. The passengers of the ten stranded ships couldn't see the mermen battling under water. They couldn't see what was going on under them. The battle underwater continued. The green tailed mermen and the golden tailed mermen fought and fought their hardest. All that the ten ships' passengers could see was the sea water moving fast here and there above the soldiers fighting and battling one another.
"What's happening down there....?" the worry and question of most ship passengers looking and waiting for the outcome of the fierce battle under the sea.
Raffy and the captain of the green tailed alien mermen stared each other down, each looking confident that his soldiers were winning. The underwater battle continued for some more time, and the ship passengers, in their fear, all decided to eat hamburgers and colas. In their worry, they ate and ate hamburgers, sandwiches, and drank cola. And they notice mermen starting to surface; they suddenly stopped eating and looked down to the sea. Immediately, they counted and shouted and rejoiced.
"Fifty golden tailed mermen, they're all alive they won!" shouted and cheered the passengers of the ten stranded big ships.
"We won! Surrender and go home!" the loud and proud statement and command of the leader of the golden tailed mermen Raffy.
"Hahahahahahahaha!" was the loud laughter from the captain of the green tailed alien mermen. "Surrender, you only defeated fifty! We still have another one hundred fifty, much bigger and stronger and not tired...!"
"Yes, he's right, we're doomed. We will loss this battle; our golden tailed mermen will loss this battle. They're all tired now and they still have to battle another bigger and stronger green tailed mermen," the worry of one very scared ship passengers.
Fifty green tailed mermen, much bigger and stronger, lined up once more and stared down at the fifty tired golden tailed earth mermen near Raffy.
The captain of the green tailed alien mermen and Raffy stared down at each other and loudly commanded, "Attack...!"
The fifty mermen and the other tired fifty mermen swam and submerged once more under the water. They submerged deep and swam going to the other in the middle of them under water. They swam fast and strong going for battle down in the middle of the wide sea. And they met once again in the middle, stronger punches, upper cuts, and jabs were exchanged. They punched hard, fought, and battled under the water. The fierce underwater battle of fifties went on for some time. And slowly, the ship passengers saw once again mermen surfacing from under the water. And immediately Raffy screamed aloud, "Mine is complete, how about yours?"
The ship passengers clapped and rejoiced from where they were looking inside the ten big ships. They clapped and clapped and rejoiced seeing more hope coming their way.
But the captain of the green tailed alien mermen suddenly laughed aloud and spoke, "Yes, your fifty golden tailed mermen are complete, but look they could barely swim. They're all very tired and exhausted."
And immediately the ship passengers started to worry for their lives once more.
"Surrender now loud earthling merman!" the loud, fierce, and proud statement of the captain of the alien mermen. "It's just you versus us much bigger, much stronger, and fiercer one hundred one green tailed alien mermen.
Raffy looked at the one hundred one green alien mermen in front of him. He surveyed them for a while and immediately swam fast near them. The green tailed alien mermen, together with their loud captain, swam fast and surrounded the lone Raffy in the middle of them. From where he was swimming in the middle, Raffy gently rotated surveying his one hundred one fierce mermen opponents. Immediately, Raffy submerged deep into the sea. The one hundred one fierce alien mermen submerged and disappeared into the deep of the sea. Raffy submerged too, watched and waited as the one hundred one fierce alien mermen swam fast towards him in the middle of them under the sea. And when they finally met in the middle, the hardest punches, uppercuts, and jabs were released here and there. They battled and battled the strength of one hundred one versus the strength of one. The worried passengers of the ten big ships looked and waited from where they were watching on the ship they were riding. The fierce underwater battle continued, and the worried passengers waited and waited.
"Look, there's a merman flying out of the sea!" shouted one suddenly. "And there's another one!"
"And another one!" shouted more suddenly excited ship passengers. "And another one and they're all green tailed.
"And another one!" shouted loudly of the all very excited ship passengers. All the passengers of the ten stranded ships looked down and up repeatedly.
One by one the green alien tailed mermen were thrown out of the sea from under the water where they battled the lone Raffy. And shortly, more unconscious green tailed alien mermen were thrown out of the sea, in twos, in threes, in fives and more. The ship passengers continued counting the unconscious green tailed mermen rapidly catapulting out of the sea from where they battled Raffy under water. And when they finished their count, the victorious and smiling mighty Raffy surfaced in the middle of the sea. The fifty golden tailed mermen and the ship passengers quickly and loudly rejoiced and cheered looking at the strongest merman of the sea smiling at them. And when the cheering and celebration started to die down, Raffy immediately shouted and asked smiling at the happy passengers looking at him in the middle of the wide sea, "Am I forgiven now, huh?”

                                         Chapter 18

"Look, up in the sky!" suddenly shouted one passenger from one of the ten ships stranded in the sea.
"What, is it a bird?" asked Raffy looking up at the passengers of the ships.
"No...!" was the simultaneous and loud answer of all the passengers of ten ships.
"Is it an airplane?" asked Raffy once more looking up all the passengers of the ten ships in front of him in the middle of the wide sea.
"No...!" was another loud and simultaneous answer of all the passengers of the ten big ships.
Raffy slowly turned around, looked up and saw the fierce and gigantic green alien dragon flying in the sky.
In their greater fear, all the passengers of the ten big ships looked up as they watched the fierce and gigantic green fire breathing alien dragon continued flying in the sky towards all of them. Even from afar, they could already hear his loud roar and the sound of his strong powerful wings gliding him towards their direction in the middle of the wide and deep sea. The ten mermen friends of Raffy and the forty golden tailed mermen soldiers shook their heads looking up and fearing the approaching powerful winged and gigantic green alien flying dragon in the sky.
"What are we going to do now Raffy?" asked Tristan who suddenly approached Raffy looking up at the gigantic alien creature.
"We have no match for him Raffy, he could fly and he breathes lethal fire from his mouth," the worried statement of Julio who swam fast to the side of Raffy still looking up and surveying the approaching flying green alien dragon.
Raffy did not say a word; he continued looking up awaiting the gigantic alien green creature. Raffy quickly realized how powerful and strong the alien enemy was. Even the passengers of the ten big ships, shook their heads looking alternately at the approaching flying green alien dragon and at Raffy i the middle of the sea.
"How can he possibly beat that gigantic green creature and he's fast approaching us looking so furious and fierce," the worried statement of one of the passengers of the ten ships.
"He looks so furious and he looks like he wants to burn all the ships. He's going to kill us all," was the very scared statement of another of the ten passengers of the ten ships.
"Look all the men seems not to know how they are going to battle that gigantic alien dragon. They're all just looking up and looking helpless and hopeless from where they are swimming," the worried statement and opinion of one passengers who suddenly stood back farther from the side of the ship he was riding.
"What's going to happen to all of us now..." was the worried and scared statement of the boy who lost his toy when Raffy shook their ship.
"We're all doomed," was the sad statement of one old passenger of the ship.
"If only we have bows and flaming arrows, maybe we can all help the mermen from up here," the sad statement of one scared passenger.
"We're hopeless, this is our end," the statement of the passengers who lost all his hope.
Raffy and his fifty golden tailed mermen continued looking up at the fierce green flying alien dragon nearing them in the sky.
"Raffy!" Sabrina who suddenly arrived called Raffy. She decided to follow Raffy when she talked to a dolphin that approached her on the shallow water of the beach, telling her that Raffy’ group was greatly outnumbered by the green tailed mermen.
Aubrey and her two brothers forbid here to follow Raffy in the battle in the middle of the sea, but her love for Raffy made her disobey. She swam fast. She swam and swam fast in the wide sea and arrived only to see the fast approaching furious green alien flying dragon in the sky. "Raffy!" she called once more.
"Sabrina, what are you doing here? Go home it's not safe here," the worry and command of Raffy to his beloved lady Sabrina swimming in front of him.
"It's not safe for you too. Look, he is breathing fire, there's no way you can beat him," the worried answer of Sabrina looking at Raffy.
"I know Sabrina, but I will find a way. The great kingdom fortune teller told me I have destiny. And I strongly believe this is my destiny. To save all these human passengers in the ten big ships and vanquish this gigantic alien dragon," the answer of Raffy to the mermaid and woman he dearly loved.
"I've known you only for a short time, I don't want to loss you Raffy," Sabrina said, holding Raffy’s hands.
"You will not loss me Sabrina. My love for you will make me victorious," the answer of Raffy smiling a little at Sabrina holding his hands. "Go behind the big ships and swim under where the gigantic alien dragon cannot see you Sabrina. Go hide Sabrina."
Sabrina sensed Raffy was determined to face the fierce alien dragon and hesitantly she obeyed, hid behind the ships and swam under still looking where Raffy was swimming in the sea surface.
The mermen and humans turned quiet and watched the gigantic alien green dragon flew still directly above them all. He suddenly spoke and aloud, "You defeated all my green tailed alien mermen soldiers and you will pay dearly. This is your end, prepare to die mermen!"
Immediately, the fierce gigantic alien dragon breathed gigantic fire from his mouth going to the direction of the mermen looking up at him. And feeling the extreme heat approaching them, Raffy immediate commanded his fifty mermen to submerge and stay under. They all escaped the huge and extremely hot fire that the gigantic dragon breathed. They stayed under continually looking up at the gigantic alien dragon. Raffy and his fifty mermen didn't know what to do. But they felt a little hope thinking that the fire from the dragon couldn't penetrate the sea water they were swimming. They swam deeper and still looking up at their formidable opponent. The gigantic alien dragon flew still in the sky, suddenly, and to their horror, the gigantic flying dragon flew downwards and swam through the surface of the sea going to the direction of the fifty one mermen. Horrified, they swam farther down and away, but the alien dragon immediately chased them under the sea and blew even bigger fire from his mouth. Many golden tailed mermen were hit. From under the water, the fifty golden tailed mermen who were all hit grimaced in pain. Raffy immediately ordered and signaled his ten mermen friends and forty mermen soldiers to swim and scatter away. Immediately, they all obeyed swimming in all directions underwater away from the fierce alien dragon leaving Raffy all alone looking face to face with the alien enemy. And through their minds the two spoke to each other.
"Well, well, well, you seem to be the bravest of them all. You must be their leader," the statement of the alien dragon underwater looking down on Raffy below him in the deep of the sea.
Raffy immediately swam up and swam still face to face and eye to eye with the swimming gigantic alien dragon. Immediately, the alien dragon breathed fire towards the direction of Raffy and immediately Raffy swam away and escaped. Raffy was not hit. Once again the gigantic alien dragon breathed fire underwater towards Raffy, but Raffy was too quick for him. He escaped once more and stared once again at his gigantic green alien opponent. Furious, the gigantic green alien dragon swam faster gliding through the deep with his wide and powerful wings. He chased and chased Raffy under water breathing gigantic fire from his mouth. But Raffy swam quick and away from the giant. He swam zigzag escaping the lethal fire burning underwater. The gigantic alien dragon continued chasing Raffy breathing fire and Raffy continually swam zigzag, swam to his left, swam to his right, swam under, swam up escaping all the fire breathed and thrown on him under the sea. Becoming more furious, the gigantic alien dragon chased faster and breathed bigger fire from his mouth. And Raffy with his remarkable speed underwater continually escaped all his attacks and when he finally got the chance, he swam up and quickly swam behind the gigantic alien green dragon. Immediately, Raffy, and with all his strength, grabbed the tail of the gigantic green alien dragon from behind and immediately struck him hard and repeatedly on the wide sea floor. With all his might, Raffy tightened his grip on the tail of the green alien dragon and continually struck the whole body of the gigantic green dragon on the hard sea floor under water. The gigantic alien dragon roared and grimaced in pain feeling the incomparable strength of the merman hammering him under water against the sea bed. He tried to move wildly and wriggle out of the hands of the strongest merman of the sea but Raffy was just too strong for him. He became weaker and weaker feeling all the pain that Raffy's strength gave him. Weak and realizing he had no match against the speed and strength of Raffy under the sea, he suddenly and softly spoke through his mind to Raffy, "You're more powerful and stronger than me merman, I give up... I give up... Please release me from your grip and I promise to leave your planet and never to come back..."
"Are you sure, do you swear not to come back and cause trouble to our seas and anywhere in this planet," the statement and question of Raffy through his mind from the sea floor.
"I swear, in the name of our great planet. I will forever depart from your seas and from this world," the answer and assurance of the gigantic green alien winged dragon still grimacing in pain under the sea.
Slowly, Raffy loosened his grip and released the tail of the alien dragon from where he was swimming slightly above the sea floor. For a moment the gigantic alien dragon laid still on the sea floor. The ten mermen friends of Raffy saw Raffy's victory over the alien dragon. They immediately swam, approach, and called on Raffy but the moment Raffy turned his head to their direction, the gigantic alien dragon suddenly swam up, fast and away from Raffy. The alien dragon swam so fast upwards and immediately flew out of the surface of the sea and into the sky. Raffy, his ten mermen friends, and his forty mermen golden tailed soldiers immediately swam up to the sea surface and looked up at the gigantic green alien dragon flying in the sky near the ten big stranded ships filled with human passengers.
The gigantic green alien dragon immediately spoke and aloud from where he was flying near the ten big ships, "You are a strong and a quick merman but you are so easy to deceive. You might have beaten me underwater, but here in the sky I reign. I can fly you cannot. I can do harm from up here and all you can do is watch!"
"What is he saying, what is he planning?" the horrified question of the many passengers looking at the gigantic green alien dragon flying above near the ships they were riding.
"I think I know what he means," the soft statement of one scared passenger from where he was standing looking up at the alien dragon.
Horrified greatly, all the passengers listened as the gigantic green dragon alien flying in the sky spoke once more.
"Strong merman surrender yourself, or I'll make these scared humans on board the ten ships suffer!" the loud statement and threat of the alien dragon from where he was flying.
"No...! No.... don't hurt us please..." begged the passengers to the alien dragon near them.
"Have mercy on us great and mighty alien dragon. Spare us please..." begged many of the ship passengers to the gigantic alien dragon looking down at them.
"You have no honor, fight fair and square!" challenged Raffy from where he was swimming.
"I value honor yes, but I value victory more. Surrender or I'm making all these innocent and scared humans scream in pain," the loud answer of the fierce and furious alien dragon.
"Don't surrender to him merman, he'll still kill us afterwards. Save yourselves, you have done enough for us..." shouted one scared passenger from inside the ship.
And in silence the other passengers agreed and silently accepting their impending end in the middle of the sea. Silence took over the sky, the ship, and the sea. And suddenly Raffy spoke softly to his ten mermen friends and to his forty mermen soldiers, "All of you swim under and away from me..."
And although hesitant, the forty golden tailed mermen obeyed Raffy. Slowly, they swam under and away from Raffy in the surface of the water.

                                        Chapter 19

Sabrina from behind the ship she was hiding watched Raffy as he swam near the ten ships and below the gigantic green alien dragon flying in the sky. The thought of losing him bruised her heart. She wanted to swim and approach him and ask him to flee and save himself. But she knew that her presence beside Raffy would only do harm than good. She too could be a target of the fierce alien dragon and make Raffy loss his focus. Silently, she hoped and prayed that Raffy would come up with a plan to defeat his gigantic opponent in the sky given the human hostages aboard the ten big ships.
"Have you made your decision merman, are you going to surrender now or all these humans inside the ship shall perish right before your very eyes," the statement and threat of the fierce gigantic green alien dragon from where he was flying.
Raffy looked up towards the alien dragon in the sky, he weighed what the human hostages told him. "If I surrender, will you let all these humans go free and unharmed?" asked Raffy looking up at his opponent above him in the sky.
"Yes they will be unharmed, but I'm not letting them go. They are my hostages, and through them I will pressure all governments in the world to stop world summits protecting mother earth. They will be spared if they give in to my demands and continue polluting the air and the seas," the loud answer and statement of the gigantic alien dragon.
Raffy quieted once more and thought hard. Suddenly, the gigantic green alien dragon faced the ship nearest to him from the sky and readied to attack the humans inside. Many of them closed their eyes in fear and many of them shouted and screamed. Seeing and hearing the fear from the humans nearest the green alien dragon, Raffy spoke loudly to his gigantic opponent, "I surrender!"
The gigantic green alien dragon suddenly turned around and flew right above Raffy who offered to surrender. The human passengers on all the ten ships worried and feared for the life of the merman who was trying to save them from the treacherous alien dragon. He looked at Raffy once more, spoke and asked loudly, "Are you aware what I intend to do from up here merman?"
"Yes, I'm aware what a treacherous dragon like you intends to do," the firm and loud answer of Raffy from where he was swimming.
"And you still chose to surrender and not to flee, brave merman. But we'll see how far and how long your bravery could sustain you!" the loud statement of the gigantic green alien dragon and immediately readied to breathe towards Raffy below him. The green alien dragon blew his hardest towards Raffy. Raffy was hit by the alien dragon breathing his fury on him. He closed his eyes tightly feeling the pain. In silence, Raffy tried to endure the pain that he was feeling until he could bear it no more. Raffy screamed. He screamed and screamed helpless from below the gigantic alien dragon punishing him. Every scream Raffy made, shattered the heart of Sabrina. She cried and cried. Raffy saw Sabrina crying from where she was hiding but immediately turned away in fear that the gigantic green alien dragon would turn to her. The punishment continued and slowly Raffy became weaker and weaker until finally the strongest merman could move no more. Motionless, and with his eyes closed Raffy floated unconscious below the alien dragon. Finally, the alien green dragon stopped and looked down on Raffy in the sea.
"Raffy... Raffy..." with tears rolling down her eyes, Sabrina cried softly uttering the name of the merman she loved.
"He's dying, he's dying!" cried the little boy who lost his rubber ducky.
"Wake up merman, we forgive you already!" the statement of the sad and sorry loud passenger that Raffy had exchanged words before on the yacht he shook.
But Raffy remained motionless, floating gently in the surface of the sea as the fierce green fire-breathing dragon looked and mocked his defeat.
The whole ship cried and wailed, "The merman is dying… he’s dying!"
From where he was floating, the weakened Raffy slowly heard the words of the sad and crying passengers of the ten ships and suddenly remembered. Softly he called, "Genie..." and immediately the heavens roared it’s loudest, and the lightning flashed its fastest.
And when the heavens quieted, the Golden Genie appeared near Raffy floating in the sea and immediately asked, "What is your wish?"
Slowly, Raffy opened his eyes and with his last strength remaining spoke, "I wish to be a powerful merman and a powerful flying man."
"Where did he go?" uttered many of the passengers of the ten ships when the golden genie suddenly disappeared. They looked and looked all around them searching for him and wondering what he did near Raffy. And when they're eyes went back on Raffy, they were surprised. Raffy was swimming so fast right in the surface of the wide sea, and suddenly soared up and flew.
"I'm flying! I can fly now!" Raffy excitedly screamed as he continued flying in the sky.
"The merman is flying and he lost his golden merman tail," screamed many of the surprised ship passengers.
"And his got the most amazing flying superhero costume ever!" the shouted the happy and excited little boy who lost his rubber ducky in the big ship that Raffy shook.
Raffy was so happy, he flew and flew in the sky. He flew fast and straight, he flew fast in circles, he flew fast forward and cyclical. He flew and flew in all directions in the sky near the stranded ten big ships. So excited and happy the new Raffy flew and flew fast, screaming and rejoicing around the ten ships and the gigantic green alien dragon in the sky.
He was so happy flying when suddenly Tristan shouted loudly, "Raffy, you still got a gigantic green alien dragon to battle and many human passengers to save!"
"Huh," Raffy just said and suddenly stopped flying in the sky near them. "Sorry man, but I'm just new at this flying thing, got to practice you know. And now I'm ready!"

                                        Chapter 20

Immediately, Raffy flew towards the gigantic green alien dragon watching him fly all over the place.
"What now, are we still going to battle or you'll just go home?" the fast challenge and question of Raffy to the gigantic green alien dragon.
"You just learned how to fly while I had been flying for a hundred years, you have no match against me!" the loud response of the gigantic green dragon looking at the flying Raffy in the eyes.
"My, that's quite a long experience, but I have youth and speed!" the fast answer of Raffy to his flying opponent in the sky.
"Yes you have youth and speed but I still have many human hostages, I'm going to breathe nicely on them if you don't surrender once again!" the loud answer and statement of the gigantic green dragon, immediately flew nearer the human passengers in the ten big ships and prepared to breath out fire towards them.
And from where Raffy was flying, with his arms relaxed on his sides, he immediately and gently opened his two palms, facing forward, and commanded, "Rise up!" and immediately the waters around the ten big ships rose up. All the passengers in the ten big ships momentarily felt scared of what they saw but when they realized that the seemingly gigantic thin waves covered them and protected them from the big fire the gigantic green alien was blowing to them, they immediately felt safe and rejoiced calmly. They watched the water waves continued to grow around the ten big ships until finally it covered them completely creating a water wall and a wide water roof. The gigantic green alien dragon continued blowing fire but the water walls and water roofs forming a water dome protected them.
"Dragon, you're wasting your energy, save yourself and go home!" the statement and warning of the new flying Raffy smiling at his opponent in the sky.
But instead the gigantic dragon turned to Raffy's direction and blew greater fire on Raffy. And rapidly Raffy flew to his right and escaped the attack. The gigantic dragon blew once more and immediately Raffy moved upwards and escaped once more. Still the dragon did not quit, he blew fire on Raffy successively. He chased and chased Raffy in the sky and blew more and more fire. But Raffy escaped all of it, moving swiftly and rapidly all up in the air. The mermen friends of Raffy and the forty mermen soldiers along with all the humans watched as the gigantic green dragon chased and blew fire trying to kill Raffy. Suddenly, Raffy stopped in the air and faced the dragon. To the surprise of all watching, blue light laser balls came out from the hands of the flying Raffy and immediately hit the pursuing alien dragon. Immediately, the dragon shrieked and screamed in pain. He tried to fly away momentarily, but when he recovered he immediately flew back to Raffy and blew fire once again. Raffy escaped flying upwards and immediately flew fast and stopped above him. The dragon tried to fly and turn around to find Raffy, but he immediately landed and stood on his back riding him.
"I'm merely stepping on you now, surrender and leave...!" the loud statement and command of Raffy standing on the back of the dragon up in the sky.
But the gigantic dragon ignored his command and immediately wriggled wildly and forcefully trying to shake off Raffy away from him. He flew rapidly in all directions, left, right, up, down but Raffy stood firm on his back. Suddenly, Raffy jumped off, faced and flew by the gigantic dragon's side and punched hard, hitting the body of the green alien dragon. Feeling the power of Raffy's strong punch, he screamed once more in pain and became weaker and weaker up in the sky. Raffy swiftly flew back towards his tail, held it tightly with all his new strength and flew rapidly forward and upward carrying him. He flew and flew fast and forward as he dragged the dragon by his tail up in the sky. He flew and flew rapidly until all the mermen and humans could no longer see Raffy in the sky. They looked at one another after Raffy and the dragon disappeared from their sight. They held their breath in anticipation for a moment and when they saw Raffy flying back towards them all alone, they immediately started rejoicing.
As Raffy got near the ten ships in the sky, many of the passengers suddenly spoke and asked, "Where's the gigantic alien dragon flying man?"
And Raffy simply turned around, looked up, smiled and happily answered aloud, "We won't be seeing him for a long time. He surrendered and decided to go home back to their planet!"
All the mermen and the human passengers immediately cheered and rejoiced, and clapped. They all rejoiced from the sea water and from the ten ships.
The little boy who lost his rubber ducky on the ship that Raffy shook, suddenly looked towards the direction of Raffy and started to speak loud thanking him, "Thank you... thank you..." the boy hesitated what to call Raffy but when he saw Raffy grinning and looking so happy up in the air he continued, "Thank you, thank you Super Happy!"
Immediately all the mermen and humans who heard the boy all laughed. But Raffy from where he was flying immediately corrected the little. "Little boy, I'm not Super Happy, I'm Super Raffy...."
And immediately the ten mermen friends of Raffy and the forty mermen soldiers looking up at Raffy flying in the sky chanted and rallied, "Hep! Hep!"
Immediately the humans and the mermen responded, “Raffy!"
They all chanted and rallied, "Hep! Hep! Raffy! Hep! Hep! Raffy!"
"Raffy we forgave you already!" shouted all the previous passengers from the ship that Raffy shook.
And after Raffy said thank you, he vowed down and smiled at all of them from where he was flying.

                                         Chapter 21

He saw Sabrina looking up and smiling at him from where she was swimming and when all of the ten ships had sailed away with all the happy and grateful passengers, Raffy immediately flew down towards her. And when he touched the sea water his golden merman tail abruptly reappeared. In the water Raffy held the hands of Sabrina and spoke gently looking into her eyes, "I love you Sabrina..."
"I love you too Raffy," Sabrina softly answered looking up at Raffy and suddenly pinched him gently on the side. "You scared me, don't do that again."
"Huh, okay I won't," Raffy just said and suddenly but gently kissed the beautiful Sabrina on her cheeks.
Slowly Raffy's mermen friends and soldiers approached the two of them and Duncan immediately spoke, "You Raffy huh, you just turned into a flying fish and you suddenly came home with a beautiful mermaid."
Raffy just laughed a little at his friends and introduced Sabrina to all of them, "This is my beautiful lady, Sabrina."
"It's our honor to meet you Sabrina!" the fast greeting of the ten mermen.
"It's nice to see all of you too," Sabrina softly answered smiling at them and then to Raffy still holding her hands in the water.
Suddenly, a new yacht came from somewhere. And when they got nearer them Allan immediately called out, "Sabrina, Raffy we followed!"
"What happened is the battle over now? We saw the ten ships sailing. Did you win huh?" the fast questions of Ryan looking down from the yacht he was riding with Allan and his mom Aubrey.
"Yes we did. We won Ryan, Allan," the proud and happy answer of Raffy with Sabrina on his side nodding gently towards her family on the yacht. "It's nice to see you once again, Madame," Raffy greeted the mother of Sabrina looking and smiling at them.
"Ah yes I heard, you lived in our house as a flying fish," the statement of Aubrey looking at both Sabrina and Raffy in the water.
"Sabrina you look so happy from down there beside that merman Raffy," Allan immediately teased his sister still holding Raffy's hands.
"I am very happy, and thank you for bring him home to us from the beach," Sabrina answered and teased back at her little brother Allan riding the yacht.
Suddenly someone arrived and called out, "Aubrey!"
Everybody turned around to the sound of the new voice. Immediately all the mermen vowed down and greeted, "Greetings your majesty!"
For a moment Raffy looked at Aubrey and King Leonardo alternately and immediately realized that Sabrina was the girl he wished to find and bring to the king. Immediately he realized he fall in love with the beautiful daughter of their king Leonardo. He was holding the hands of the little girl in the picture that made him dream of flying since he was a child. Raffy looked deeper into Sabrina's eyes and gently kissed her once again in the cheeks.
"Aubrey!" King Leonardo called Aubrey once more, swam nearer and approached her on the yacht.
Aubrey momentarily looked at the face of the merman he loved and softly spoke to her daughter Sabrina swimming beside Raffy in the sea, "Sabrina, he's your merman father Leonardo," the confession of Aubrey to her daughter Sabrina.
"You're the long lost daughter of our king Sabrina, you're the one I wished to bring to our king and repay him for all the kindness he had shown me since I was a child," the statement of Raffy smiling at Sabrina and to his king.
The king immediately swam and approached Sabrina. "I have finally found my beloved daughter. I longed to see you and hug you," the happy statement of the king and immediately hugged Sabrina and kissed her gently on her forehead.
Sabrina looked up and hugged her father back. "I'm so happy to finally see you my father," uttered Sabrina from his tight embrace.
"Raphael, I'm so glad that it's my daughter Sabrina that you love," the statement of the king to Raphael.
"I haven't asked her yet, but in advance I'm asking your permission to marry her, my king," the statement of Raffy to his king and still holding the hands of Sabrina smiling at him.
King Leonardo momentarily looked at Aubrey inside the yacht and when he saw her smile and nodded gently he glanced to both Raffy and Sabrina swimming in the sea.
"I want no other merman to marry her but you, Raphael. I'm the happiest king and father in this side of the world," the statement of the king to the merman he took good care as a child in his blue palace.
"And I'm the happiest merman for having found her. She's the most beautiful lady and mermaid that I ever laid eyes to. I love her and I will love her forever," the answer of Raffy to the king and gently hugged Sabrina by his side in the sea they were swimming.
Once again the king glanced at the beautiful Aubrey on the yacht with her two sons.
"Where's your husband Aubrey?" asked King Leonardo as he swam in the water near the yacht Aubrey was riding.
"He's gone now and happy in heaven Leonardo," answered Aubrey looking at the father of Sabrina.
King Leonardo smiled and asked, "Do you see a handsome merman lady?"
"Yes, only my two sons don’t know his name," answered Aubrey looking and smiling at him.
"I'm Leonardo, the king of this part of the sea," he introduced himself to Allan and Ryan looking at him from the yacht. "I loved your mother and still do, if you two would let me, I'll marry her and make her happy for the rest of our lives."
"Well if you truly love our mother and you intend to make her happy, I will not get in your way and give my approval. My father fathered your daughter Sabrina, maybe it's time that you father us," the answer of Ryan looking and smiling at King Leonardo and looked back to his mom smiling at him.
"And since Ryan had given his approval, I'm giving mine too. Welcome to our family," the statement and welcome of Allan looking and smiling at him.
"Thank you handsome little boys and welcome to our sea," the answer of King Leonardo happily and smiled at the woman he love Aubrey.
Happily the merman Raffy and the mermaid Sabrina held each other’s hands swimming in the ocean and looking at each other’s faces. I Love you Sabrina..." he whispered softly.
"I love you too Raffy..." Sabrina softly answered. Raffy then gently hugged the very beautiful Sabrina and kissed her gently on her cheeks.
And from then on, on that part of the world, mermaids, mermen, and humans lived harmoniously and happily ever after.
